Thanks Mike! I like the Gaelic Tweed. The base works really well for me and the scent strength is good too. I can’t believe I picked this up used in 2018, I think it was, and the scent is still strong. I can send you a sample of the AS if you like. I have a grudge match with the soap right now. I have the doughnut of death going on too.

Hey, thanks Tim.  That's a generous offer, and I would appreciate it.

Garrett (aka gwsmallwood) did a series called "The "Tweeds of March", where he compared a whole bunch of GIT clones.  Being a sucker for GIT clones, I enjoyed and played close attention to Garret's videos.  To the extent that his soaps and mine overlapped, I noted very strong agreement.  Garrett gave WSP Gaelic Tweed top marks for scent and above average marks for performance,  That too, is consistent with my experiences with other WSP formulat T  soaps.

You are correct. One of the best Tweed offerings available.

The Deets-
Last night I lapped the ILR stone and touched up the Dovo. I thought I had pretty good stiction, but the blade never came to a complete stop. So this morning that razor was on deck. The razor was sticking to the steer hide and I was getting stoked.

So I got on with the shave. It felt ok on the WTG and XTG passes, but could have been a bit more comfortable. The ATC pass gave me a lot of trouble along the jaw line. Grrrrrr. So this was a bare minimum DFS at best. Well that sucked. I thought I would have irritation in one spot on the jaw line, but I guess the AS took care of that. So first time on a smaller stone and using X strokes for the first time. I think I will practice on another razor for a while.

I also scored this Trotter Handcrafts Rainier Ash handle. It looks great, thank you again Paul! Now I need to choose a knot. That’s all for today. Life is good!

She's a beaut Tim! It looked nice with the AP grey handle Paul had in it. Additionally, I believe Shave Forge makes a grey synth, but I've only used their 2-bands. No clue how their synths are.

Please share your finished product pictures. They're fun to see!

Happy Friday!
