Today was another “no frills” shave to check out another Sir Henry’s scent. The Old Type got the nod today, as well as Casino Royale. Same results as the last scent, which was expected and I’m digging the scent of this one too. I think I could find a place in the rotation for these. Next I’ll have to try the El Jefe aftershave balm and see how it performs. Life is good!

Yesterday’s shave was nice. Grabbed The Fat to pair with El Jefe. My thought was The Fat has such a light scent, you can use any AS. Also putting another lather on this brush to try and break it in a bit more. Everything came together for a BBS shave for the win!

Another very nice shave again today. On deck today was an unobtainium soap by Stirling. No reason, just because. Nice lather, but thin like the past several. Luckily the slickness carried the shave. I am finding that this boar holds a lot of water. I’ll have to use the Graydog tomorrow with the TGN boar to see how that one stacks up. I don’t remember that one holding as much.

10 laps on cotton and 40 on leather. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. A relaxing shave and I am BBS once again. A heavy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! I smell amazing and it’s going to be a great day. Life is good!
