Teiste,

Thank you for setting this up. I'm very excited to try this hair. I have Shavemac silvertip and D01 (3-band) knots in custom handles and enjoy both of them. I put in my order for an ivory 167 bulb. Anxious to try it Big Grin

I can tell you  now that you wont regret getting these new silvertip two band brushes. No , the bul shape with 53 mm loft wont be floppy at all.I have one and performs amazin , but I can say the same about the other 2 shavemac silvertip two band fan shaped I have , one with a 49 mm loft and another with a 52.

Bernd with Lee Sabini are making the best shaving knots out there , for my like an taste , and I think this is a great chance to get an outstanding brush with a discount.

Hi Teiste, I was considering the fan for the smaller knot but would normally opt for a shorter loft.

You mentioned that you have the 2-band ST in fan, 23mm with 52mm and it is not too floppy? Just want to ensure as I face lather 100% and like a little backbone.

Thanks!

Thanks.

I don't believe this brush has shipped yet. Many have tried the new 2 band Silvertip with similar specs and the reviews are pretty much all positive.

As Bruce have answered , these brushes havent been shipped yet. However , I have 3 of these brushes , and they perform great , reminding me the first batch of blonde badger from 2010 (maybe Bruce or others could commend on this too).Extra soft tips , good backbone and flow. For me , my 2015 brush discovery's.

Doh. I just noticed the date this was posted. Now I get it. Thanks. I have the same knot in 25 mm x 47 fan, and I love it. I was thinking about getting the same in a bulb and I didn't know how a 23 x 52 bulb would compare with the Shavemac I have already. It seems like it might feel small at 23 mm but then it is a bulb and the loft is 5 mm higher than mine.

My Shavemac has very hooked tips, ultra soft and not an ounce of scritch or scrub, just soft with decent backbone.

It is an absolutely Fantastic knot, one of the best (if not best) out there right now. I just took these pics with my phone, nothing fancy, but will give you an idea of what to expect. To me, it is very very close to my Chief in terms of feel, flow and even shape.
