Great work Frank.
Janus is an unknown, add to that the price of it - its an extremely difficult sell. So I'm sure that a number of people have been on the fence on this one.
There were people going to back it regardless, I think what you have done for the Janus is made up the minds of the fence-sitters

I've been following it since I first heard about it and I for one think that its a great idea and I would like to see it come to life.

Carry on the good work

This is definitely an intriguing razor and although you can look at it and see the amount of time and energy it took to develop, I think Janus may have missed the mark by starting with the toggle design. The price alone is enough to scare most people off but add to it the toggle design and I personally think the user base shrinks even further.

I wish Janus all the best and hopefully they stay in the game long enough to develop and bring to market a more standardized adjustable razor.

Holy hell, look at the dome on that thing! It looks exactly like the drawings, unfortunately. At the risk of being a pain, can you put a T95 next to it. The T95 has the tallest dome I know if. The Janus looks even taller. How can that not be an issue?

Phew that's a Toggle on steroids.

Visavis Timeless, there's now a choice.....Thor's hammer...
...or Odin's battle-axe.

This is defo for guys who like the heavy stuff....I cant even picture
how this gets under the nose.

Hi Claudio

How are you my friend! I hope what you say is true and these Shave Offs help people who are on the fence make up their minds one way or the other. The price of this razor in my humble opinion is what will keep some people away no matter if it could clean your house and cook your dinner. Others will look at this razor as unique and just want to have one in their den. For me the way I look at it is that the way this razor shaves when set on settings 5 and 9 and knowing their will be a gap increase on the production model and other nice features I'm of the mind set that there are razors in my den that I won't need as this razor would cover them and do it in a more efficient way and smoother and in fact I can think of 2 right of the bat that if sold at market price would equal the price of the Janus. I've got about maybe 3 more Shave Offs I can do before sending it to Shavemd and he will careey on this thread as far as Shave Offs until it has to go back to Eric on June 1st. Who knows maybe he'll tweak it and send it back for further reviews after that. I'll know more after our phone meeting tomorrow.

Thanks for your input my friend if I have time I'd like to see how it stacks up against my Gibbs although I think I already know the outcome of that Shave Off.

I agree with you if the razor didn't use a modified toggle design it may have more appeal but this was one persons dream and I think it will appeal to a certain group of wet shavers and in fact based on the feedback and comments I'm getting from pm's, emails and phone calls from members on here and other sites along with my FB wet shavers clubs and on my Instagram I'm surprised at the number of people that have an interest and some who have decided to back up the KS program I know of at least 6 more that for sure are signing up for one and along with me that will be 7. Oh and it's hard to explain unless you compare in person but the way the toggle on this moves when compared to the original you can just tell it's built like a tank being all out of 316 SS.

Thanks for the feedback!

LOOT Here is the Timeless .95 next to the Janus and since you brought it up which I'm not sure I covered it so good question but I'm going to do a quick one pass Shave Off this morning before going to work so I'll use the Timeless .95 and the Janus and report back tonight as I'm pressed for time to get to work but if I remember right as big as it is I had no problem getting under the nose. As normal with any razor with a larger head all I had to do was lift up my nose a bit more but I do that with all my razors as it's my skin stretch in that center of the nose area but I'll do a quick report on the 1 pass Shave Off with the  T95 tonight.

I"ll let you know later how that goes as far as under my nose but like I stated in the last post I don't remember it being a problem. Weight wise the Janus is 122 grams on my scale and it's only one gram heavier than my WR1 SS .94 121 grams and it's 5 grams lighter than my Timeless .95 DC SS at 127 grams with the shorter Barberpole handle on so anyone with the longer handle Timeless and I'm thinking this razor will probably be noticeably lighter in hand and probably the same length but I sold both my long handles so I can't make that comparison. The way the razor is designed it actually fits in my hands nicely when I use the balance point which I found on my own on the first Shave with it but after looking at the brochure that comes with the razor I was right as it actually shows it in the brochure. I have normal sized hands so I'm thinking maybe for those with very small hands it may be an issue but for medium to larger hands it will be no issue I'm sure.

Looking at the height of that head, I can't imagine it NOT being an issue. I know, I know, it's my technique.
