There is only one sure way to stop hair loss.
CRAZY GLUE.

My avatar photo is a lie.
I have rather coarse hair. With judicious combing it looks like there is more than there is.
I don't worry about it any more. I hear worry makes the hair fall out.

Buy MiN New York. Thank me later.

In all seriousness, I used the giant salon sized products and loved them. They do the cleansing job really well, and leave my hair feeling moisturized and soft. No one can tell if any product will work 100%, but this one will (according to the research) mitigate some of the risks that cause hair loss.

If I ever go bald, I'll just shave my head and sport a nice beard like BadDad

Me too. I am 50 and still have a full head but if I did or do start losing it, I will just get rid of it all. I would honestly do it now but my wife prefers it a bit longer.

Smile exactly. Although I used to keep it #2 and my wife is convinced if I took it down to the skin I'd look like a peanut.

Not exactly correct:

Quote:... Baldness happens because of the genes people inherit from both their mom and dad. Some studies show that 80% of balding is genetic.

A key gene can come from a maternal grandpa. But this gene doesn't explain all baldness. People are just as likely to be bald if their dad or their maternal grandfather is bald.

Two new studies have fingered a small region on chromosome 20 called 20p11 as being associated with balding. This sort of thing could explain people who are bald even though their mom's dad still has a full head of hair.

Scientists don't know how this DNA is involved or even what part is involved. All they know is that people who are bald tend to have a certain version of 20p11...

The X and the Y chromosome determine whether someone will be a boy or a girl. If someone has two X chromosomes, then she is almost always female. And if someone has an X and a Y chromosome, then he is almost always male.

What this means is that a daughter always gets dad's X chromosome and a son always gets dad's Y chromosome. This is why dad determines the gender of the child.

Imagine that someone has a maternal grandfather who is balding. He will give his "balding" X to his daughters. They probably won't go bald because they have an extra X chromosome from mom. The daughters will pass this "balding" X down to their sons half of the time.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Thats interesting and given the nature of science and research, we're bound to learn more over time (except for climate science because thats apparently decided with absolute certainty. spit and stamped) . My father is bald and my maternal grandfather had a rich, lustrous full head of white hair when he passed in his mid seventies. Me and my two brothers all have more or less full heads of hair, a bit of thinning in the 50s but not such that I'd need to put sunscreen on my head. I am a little envious of my grandfather's hair, it was truly splendid. Both of my sisters have full heads of hair too. Big Grin

Not really. Hair, once it leaves the follicle, is dead. Anything you apply to your hair may add some mosture, maybe add some shine, help it not frizz, or help hold the frizz together.

Best any product is going to do is either add moisture to dead material or polish it up.
