Seygus DFS razor pass around (2 razors)

I received the Blue one today and will do my shave with it tonight and will post back.

I would like to try this beautiful razor. I live in Cyprus so please add me to the abroad list.

Ok so today I did my first shave with it and what everyone is saying about it be very mild is correct IMO. I do love a mild razor but this one may be a bit too mild. I used a Vockshod blade in it but will try with a feather on my next shave and then give a final report.

Late in providing some feedback with the Seygus but here is my take with it.

I used it three straight days; fist day with a feather, BWW Aladdin Spice shave soap and homemade PSO. Second time with a GSB, Tiki Fougere shave soap and homemade PSO and 3rd and last shave with GSB, Time Traveler Shave Soap and Homemade PSO and have to say, for me way too mild of a razor. I currently own a Feather AS-D2 which is pretty mild and use to own a Feather AS-D1 which was even milder than the AS-D2 and the Seygus is milder than the Feather AS-D1. I tend to gravitate to mid to aggressive razors anyway but will pull out the feather for a change of pace or when I have to do a evening shave for a special event in the evening but the Seygus for me is too mild. Usually a 2 pass shaver but found I had to do 3 pass plus touch ups, basically 4 pass for the first time I used the razor and just went ahead and did four passes the last two shaves.

Though the razor too mild for my taste, my daughter used it once on her legs and she liked it and the over all construction was quite good. I did like the blue color on the Seygus I tried and maybe with a little more aggressive gap it would be a keeper for me. Felt balanced in my hands and the length was just right for my hands.

For those who like a less aggressive razor or those who have to deal with razor burn often this might be the razor for them.

Hello, friends and thanks for the invaluable feedback we are receiving. I share your reports with my brother in law, who made the razors in the workshop when there is spare time, some Fridays and Saturdays. Even on Sunday, when his partner agree not to spend time with his family. He keeps a fun argument (is an oxymoron, yep) about the razor and his efficiency. To me is difficult ask for a little bit gap, mainly due to the results he get with a Gillette Platinum and two days beard and head hair growth (he share the pictures with me to bring some evidence here). I ask for a 0,5mm gap in a few of them to test if this bring new air to the razor. Let's see what happens in the close future; the main difficult doing a more aggressive razor is that perhaps we don't win any efficiency and, on the contrary, lose mildness and skin care, going out of the market, cause the people who loves it want a mild razor close to the R89 in efficacy, where I know the razor it is, according to most evidence. But, the game is on time and is very exciting figure out what should be offered to people whom the razor doesn't work. Cheers.

First off let me just say thank you for allowing us to give this razor a try.

Ok I did my second shave today and used a feather blade, I hate to say I do not need to do a third. I wanted to love this razor so much because I do like a mild razor, I normally do three passes and then a very minimal clean up pass because I like to have the baby baby baby butt smooth feeling (well that's what my wife likes and that's all that counts). I found that after the third pass I had as much stubble left as I normally do after my first pass any other time. I like the weight, handle and the color although I can see that blue coating chipping off even now.

I am sure there are those that will love it, as everyone has their own specific taste.
