I had trouble posting this in my previous post so here it is, Blackberry Blossom Bay soap Chatillon Lux in collaboration with L&L Grooming. Given that this is a 2017 release, the Toner that Dave in KY has dates from 2015 or 2016

A kind and generous member of the forum whose name shall be anonymous but rhymes with Arko  Marko sent me 2 New Aftershaves. They smell wonderful !

I also received another Injector in Gold Finish.

Blackberry Blossom Bay sounds incredibly intriguing. I’ve never seen or heard of that one. I did a quick search and it goes back to 2017.

That toner is one of the original run that Shawn Maher of Chatillon Lux did. He only did it in aftershave and toner because he didn’t make soap. The soap came later in collaboration with L&L Grooming (later Declaration Grooming). There was a second run of Blackberry Blossom Bay post shave by Chatillon Lux but there was never another release of it in soap until Declaration Grooming’s B Cubed (BBB get it?) a couple of years ago.

Ha!!!! That's great. I do remember when it was L&L Grooming. Its seems like an intriguing scent to me.

It’s a unique and interesting scent. I was trying to get Shawn to do a bay rum.  He was reluctant to do a bay rum because he had a dislike of bay rums generally. Blackberry Blossom Bay was as close as he would get to bay rum. I wouldn’t call it a bay rum but rather an original, bay inspired fragrance. I don’t think I’d wear it every day but I do like it. It was released exclusively on DFS after I rounded up enough guys willing to commit to buying it by pre-order. I bought a few more bottles of both the aftershave and toner than I normally would have in order to reach the number that Shawn needed to do a run. There was enough interest that a second run came in 2017 along with the collaboration soap but I think it only ever achieved “cult following “ status at best.

Was just able to nab a tub of B Cubed Soap to go with this. Thanks Marko I couldn't remember what the rename of the soap was.

Besides the soap being wonderful the aftershave lotion and splash are tops.

Next to it is one of my favorite injectors, the Schick Type G, fresh from a bit of polishing!

And here's an Ever-Ready. This has an APSCo MiG 24mm knot.

A few items came in today. I was getting low on my Ghost Town Barber so got 2backups as well as a new one they had for my new to me Rose scent type soaps....Black Rose ( TommyCarioca ) A new LE Ballenclaugh Soap Chamomile & Lavender an a Tibam Ti New York Handle for my Salient.

Very nice Eric! Freddie does some amazing work.

You'll notice, I don't actually see the tags in Tapatalk. It doesn't play nice with the software DFS uses. Still, I didn't need them. I knew right away who made the handle. His work is legendary.
