Semogue 610...I'm struggling

A month of daily shaves broke my Semogue 1520 in very nicely. I wet it under the tap with warm water and shake out the excess and then start loading off the soap and then go to facelathering.

UPDATE:
I soaked the brush during my shower as normal. Rather than ringing out the brush, I just held it upside down and let gravity take the water out. About 30/45 seconds of loading and got 3 passes with no problems.
It was a little messy; but, I'll get that worked out in time. Brush worked great.

Good to hear that you are making headway! I have only one Semogue and it is a 1305. It is a great brush but did take a while to break in. Once it did, it performs really well and makes for a great change of pace. As I recall, it likely took a month or so before it really hit stride.

I'm amazed at how different the two materials react to the soap. My synthetic brushes can go to the bloomed puck totally dry and grab soap with no problem. This little boar needs all the water I can give it, it seems.
The synthetic also seems to be Extremely Efficient with soap! Whereas the boar eats a ton of soap for the amount of lather it produces. I understand it's not broken in and things may change; but, I don't seem to get much lather for the amount of soap that's being used by the boar.

Glad you are making progress!!!!Trust me with the wet method load a little longer,at least a minute.You will be rewarded with tons of slick protective goodness!!!!Another tip I forgot to mention,I will take a new brush into the shower to help break it in as well.I use normal bath soap and scrub my face with it.Quickens break in time and exfoliates the face at the same time,win win!!!

I meant to ask this before. When you say to load the brush for a minute. Do you feel you are adding soap to the brush the entire time or just prelate ring what is in the brush prior to taking it to the face?
I ask because after about 30 secs or so, it looks like I'm building lather more than adding any more soap. In fact, the soap looks like it's loaded damn near the handle after about 30 secs!
You surely fixed my problem of not getting enough soap so I'm not trying to challenge you. I'm just curious.

Lol no worries pal,I feel you are adding soap to the brush the whole time.Not sure if I mentioned earlier to swirll LIGHTLY on the puck,don't even allow the brush to splay.If you are doing it right you will make a mess,at first you will have a lot of watery large bubble type unusable lather,keep going.Soon you will notice a change in sound and texture of the mixture on the puck.It will become a little more tacky when you lift the brush off the soap.Go to bowl,face or palm now.More than likely you may not have to add more water,if you do it will be very little.It was hard for me the first time I used this method,the whole time I thought,There is no way this will turn into any type of usable lather and all of sudden bam.The slickest protective lather I had ever whipped up.When I use a larger brush with this method I end up with enough lather to shave a yak lol.Give it some time you will dial it in I'm sure,good luck!!!

palm lather the brush a bunch of times to help break it in quicker.

I got an Omega 13564 boar brush around Thanksgiving. I have synthetics, and continued to use those for first two weeks of owning the boar. I did though lather the boar everyday with a triple milled soap, and then let dry after rinse. After two weeks of this I used it for my face lathering. Still was not completely broken in, and only got about 2 passes of lather. It is starting to break in after the month of use, and I can get three whole passes now. I can see where this will be a pretty decent brush.
