For a brushless cream you should also take a look at Billy Jealousy Hydroplane Super Slick Shave Cream. It's a bit pricey but very slick.

The OP asked for a cream... plus the soap you are suggesting has been discontinued for years and not found anywhere.

It was a creme and available widely still on BST and other venues with very little effort. Anybody seeking the slickest creme would be well advised to at least consider it. In fact, one just sold on BST here for $23

Oh, you said soap, so I was confused.

The Coate's creams are $1.70 or thereabouts.

I tried this recently & was very impressed. Very comfortable shave. Paid $6.50 for 2.5 Oz [Image: X3OYRPi.jpg]

It took me a while to try some of these and the winner is..... Marlowe.  Found it on Amazon but can be ordered directly for the same price ($13.99 per tube) at https://marloweskin.com/.

Update:  I started to use an alum bar after shaving - big mistake for me.  Terrible irritation.  I've moved to Proraso white line pre-shave cream, shave cream, after-shave balm and now also using a brush.  Very happy with the results.  Next step is a DE razor!
