Seeking High Lubricity Shave Cream

Hello All,

New member here looking for some sage advice.  For several years, I have happily used Trader Joe's Honey Mango cream shave primarily for its high lubricity.  I am a senior citizen and haven't been to a store since early March.  TJ doesn't sell online or do curbside pickup and my supply is running low.  I ordered some Cremo from Amazon and it's OK but doesn't provide as smooth a glide.  I also tried a soap and brush but I don't like thick lather and I found the process quite fussy (no insult intended - it's just not for me).  Some searching online has led me to Pacific Shaving Company and Marlowe shave cream.  My past use has been downmarket but I don't mind spending money for the right product.

You might want to try Anthony Shave Cream. It's meant to be used with or without a brush.

My experience with it is from a couple of small sample packets.
I thought it was very slick.
They say it has "cornmint, eucalyptus, and rosemary oils", but I get a very strong scent of peppermint (like candy canes) rather than eucalyptus or a menthol. It's almost like a gel toothpaste.

Personally, I am not a big fan of latherless shave creams like TJ Honey Mango, but if it works for you, that is fine.

It is my understanding that the Honey Mango is made for Trader Joes by Alba Botanica. Amazon carries several Alba Botanica shave creams, including a Mango Vanilla. You won't find the Honey Mango as it is a TJ exclusive scent.

Personally, I prefer Cremo shave cream.  It is designed as a brushless shave cream, but I like using it with a brush. Once you mix Cremo with water, the slickness is as good as anything you will find out there.

The WCS jojoba cream is excellent. Best cream I've used so far.

You can easily scoop out how much you want with a finger and apply directly to the brush or to your face. 

The duck fat version is indeed a soap so be careful when ordering.

it's a very soft cream, the title description is misleading

Coate's creams are extremely slick. If you don't try these, you're hurting yourself.
Best ones are Tea Tree and Lavender, IMO, but they have a few other scents too.
Can't recommend them highly enough.
