Schick Type F replate HELP

Getting mine replated and they wondered if the 2 screws are regular thread or reversed? The head needs to come off for replating the head. I know some have had theirs done and may know or can find out. I've also seen narled up screws which I want to avoid. Thanks in Advance !!

Razorplate did mine. He didn't remove the head, because it was riveted. He said he had spent lots of time to protect aluminum from gold plating.

So not threaded? Chris at BRG said the aluminum would turn black and contaminate the bath......Is that the AFTER plating picture ?

EDIT - Turns out Chris at BRG found an old thread on another forum that showed they are indeed screws and can be removed. Hoping he will do mine and document for everyone to know

I see notches on either side of the screw heads. My guess is that they are a modified "spanner" screw head.

Mystery solved ! Chris at Back Roads Gold has and is working on several razors for me (6) and he sent pics of the removed screws so we can document it for others benefit in the future.

way early into my foray into wet shaving (probably ~10 years ago now), I found someone locally selling a cased injector type F for $20 with 2 other razors as well! talk about a score at the time!

Yep, we all have those regrets. I still kick myself for thinking $150 for a beautiful cased Darwin was ridiculous many years ago. Now they are north of $1000 if one shows up at all
