hey DFS, I need some opinions on a possible issue that has me spooked!

Yesterday two injectors landed in the mailbox. The Canadian got its own thread, and I think this Type G deserves one as well.

It arrived with no blade loaded, which has happened before with internet purchases (ie, not from a BST). I decided to sacrifice a Ted Pella blade, but instead what I experienced in the past, this one went in like a hot knife in butter. Should I be worried? I am used to a tough push, hence the sacrifice of a blade and subsequent reload with a new blade. It seemed too easy, like maybe the head isn't holding the blade as tight as it should? Reload was also easy, not what my experiences so far have been. Can the blade clamping be tightened? I plan to do a very careful pass tomorrow, but anyone with a similar experience who would like to share with me would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't be too terribly concerned about it loading a blade easily as the injector takes the pressure off of the back of the blade as it is injected into the razor.  As long as there is good pressure on the back of the blade after the injector is removed, it should be OK. Is the new blade being held firmly by the razor Eric?  You should be able to press your finger nail on the sides of the blade in the razor to see if there's any wiggle.

Congrats on the new razors!  I've been using my injector razors a lot lately and enjoying them a lot

As Blade4vor says, the injector key releases tension by lifting the top plate. It sounds to me like everything is working as it should, but I have not even used injectors long enough to need to change a blade yet.

Cool cool cool looking razor!
