Rumour has it, and I have never used a Krona, so I'm am going purely by rumour here, that it is comparable to a 40s Super Speed in shave experience. Mild, forgiving, and still efficient enough to take down the hair.

They are fairly inexpensive, especially compared to an equal condition Super Speed, so I say you've got very little to lose, should you decide to just go for it, and pick one up...

Blue Tip super speed, Edwin Jagger, maybe a Gillette Tech.

Long handle, mild shave. Very forgiving.

Nice razor. Well balanced and good head geometry to get under the nose. Doesn't break the bank either.

It's only the best daily DE shaver extant. I do 90% of my shaving with one. It's slightly more aggressive than a 'Flare Tip' and no razor IMO shaves smoother. It has bevelled silo doors that act as a guide for the optimal angle. It is one of the few DE razors that can employ the sharpest blades with little fear of getting cut while still giving a DFS. If you are one of those guys who obsesses about a perfect BBS shave then it is not for you. You would need something more aggressive. It is slightly more aggressive than the Tech or DE89.

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

For as little as they cost, you can't afford to not play with one for a month or so. You have to try hard to even get cut by one. Due to the long handle, they are a favorite among leg shavers too. Mine was my head shaver till I built up skill to a more aggressive 3 piece. Everybody has to try one of these out as a right of passage.

Yes sir. The Krona is very available on the Bay and others, reasonably priced, and gives as good a shave as most Gillette's. The Krona is a best kept secret. A great smooth razor. You will not regret getting one.
