Saving Money Shaving? Ha!

I was the guy saving money for years. One brush, one razor, and one soap puck but then I discovered the idea of vintage razors and artisan soaps. It was all over after that. Before I liked the shaves I got but it was still a chore that I had to do. Now It's something I look forward to everyday.

That's the whole point, Steve.  It's as much a hobby as a daily ritual, and why not?

You are so right. But we have it better because it also serves a daily purpose. It is not like collecting stamps or fountain pens. It's a hobby but a necessary one.

Sometimes I think my favorite hobby is starting hobbies. Only the best ones last though.

Man, I can't stop collecting things lately. First it was pens, then it was pocket knives, and now with razors. Each time I told myself I was looking for what I needed, next thing I know I have like, 20 pens, 12 knives, and 10 razors. At least the knife thing seems to have worn off.

I've actually settled into setups that I like enough that I'm almost saving money now. Almost.

Like if you start counting now and don't count the money I've already spent. And you stop counting before the fall release cycle.
