I only took a few pics since we talked most of the time I was there but the shop was impressive. I couldn't even begin to count the amount of handles and knots there. That's not the only shelf of turning rod. He had two more and pieces all over. Really knowledgeable guy as well. It's a side business for him but you can tell he takes it seriously. If you haven't had the chance to check his stuff out, please do. He does great work and is a pleasure to deal with. I'll be looking forward to my next brush and get together with him.

Talked to him about the forums a little. He will go on B&B occasionally but he said he doesn't have the time between his real job, making brushes and having a life. I'd love for him to be active just because he has been around for awhile and has seen the hobby grow from nothing.

Impressed with the shop and the Tormek T-7 sharpener! If you have lathe tools that will keep them razor sharp.

Very cool pics HuckKing723 . That must have really been something to see your brush go from blank to finished product!

He has some great looking stock to choose from too. Must resist...

Thanks. All I told him was I wanted a sort of beehive in the malachite. He cut the blank and seemed to not even think about what he was doing. Next thing I know it's done. I'm excited for my next one from him. So many blanks. He was in the middle of finishing up a group buy order from B&B that he poured himself. Ivory and a clear amber/butterscotch resin that looked amazing.

Holy moly that does sound cool...

I have had this idea kicking around in my head for a "bourbon on the rocks" sort of handle. Sounds similar... resistance seems futile.
