Here is my review of this Awesome razor, imo RazoRock best offering to date.

My 1st Shave with the 95 Open Comb was fantastic… In short the 95 Oc is like 95 Sb on Steroids!! It’s way more efficient, but not as smooth as the Sb 95. Smoothness is very close though.

Efficiency .95Oc >>> .95Sb
Blade Feel .95Oc >>> .95Sb
Smoothness .95Sb > .95Oc

I got a couple of weepers due to treating it like the .95 Sb because it felt very safe. Big mistake, this thing can bite just like R41 if you don’t take your time. It is definitely not a beginners razor, I wouldn’t call it aggressive but I would say efficient. Imo it is the closest resemblance to Wolfman.86 Wr1 Open Comb, which I have tried.

I just had one of the best shaves in 2022 with the 95Oc. It seems as my technique gets better and learning the 95 Oc , the razor is smoother and more efficient. I now also think its smoother then the 95 Sb.

I’m in awe struck! And to think that I was about to put it up on BST. This razor delivers as good shave as $300+ razors, believe that.

The key to this razor, FOR Me, is to use a light touch and combine it with a smooth sharp blade (Permasharp or Gillette Black), and add a Titanium handle to the razor. The most challenging pass is across the grain around mouth/mustache area due to the blade exposure. I think I got it down.

And for the Gamechangers, the Lupo 95 Oc runs circles around them, there’s no comparison. Efficient without the cost of smoothness. Cuts way more hair per pass — leading to less strokes, leading to BBS, which leads to no cuts, weepers or irritation to speak of. My .02cents, YmMv

This razor is such a joy to use! I recommend it to everyone reading this.

Nice to know your thoughts, I definitely would like to add an OC plate to go with my SB Lupo razor.

Yes, Highly recommend you grab the OC plate. I would bet your SB plate would end up in the drawer or on BST. It makes the SB secondary.

Lupo 95 Open Comb is an eye opening razor as it truly shaves way above its price point. Try it and post your thoughts back on here.

Yeah I'll probably have to get one of those plates.
I'm interested to see if any other guys have tried them.

I hesitated to respond here as I don't want to discount the original posters thoughts. All things wet shaving can be so subjective to an individual's personal experience. Since Keto was looking for other experiences I'll include mine. I have owned all of the lupos except for the .58 which I don't see is necessary for me. I have since gotten rid of all of them except for the .95 SB. Between the straight bar and the open comb they both have the same blade torque, blade Gap and blade exposure. To me the shave felt the same as with the blade extending beyond the plane of the top cap and the base plate makes the shave the same except for what the OC is designed for. The benefits of an open comb are for those with longer hair being removed such as multiple day growth and concerns of clogging of the hair and lather in the razor. I found them both to shave the same and as a daily shaver I kept the SB. That's just my observation on it and my experience. There is no denying that the open comb looks much cooler!

Yeah I appreciate that Dave and, all of our different experiences is one thing that I find make this fun and interesting.
Hopefully the original poster is good with all experiences.
