If nothing else it will give the illusion of being more aggressive.

The main selling point for me is the weight and corrosion resistance. I find SS too heavy and aluminum too light. And it's nice to be able to leave your wet razor on counter with no worries.
Then you need to explain how come I was able to leave my Rockwell 6S which is made of 316L SS wet after every shave for at least 150 shaves and one time at band camp I got risky and just for the heck of it I left the Rockwell and all the plates in bowl of water for 48 hours... that's Florida tap water that is packed with Chlorine and who knows what else is inside of it in order to be keep the water clean enough for cleaning purposes and not drinking purposes.... I left that sucker 48 hours in the ball of water and not a single sight of even miniature spot of rust....

I honestly don't know about the other lower grades of SS, but the 316L looks pretty strong and corrosion resistant to me. Now I'm sure titanium should be better and lighter, as far as weight goes some people like heavier and other like lighter razors.

If you ask me IB should be stacking Aluminum, Titanium and 316L SS on all of his machined versions because he is always in shortage, I mean the SS Hawk appeared twice in 2 weeks and every single time it appeared it got sold out in 5 minutes or less..... Lady luck was on my side and I got one, need to talk to lady luck again when the Mamba comes out but considering he will bring in 2.5K+ in stock maybe I wont need lady luck this time around.

I like my Ti Baby Smooth, but I think I would like a 316L version of it even more. I like the heft of steel, and I've never had any issue with 316L rusting or corroding.

The only time I can recall getting tea stains was with my ATT razor when I left a wet blade in it for a few days, and even then, I just rubbed the tea stains off with my fingers. No real rust there either and it's 303 steel.

I don't doubt stainless steel can rust, but I think modern steel really is more than capable of lasting a lifetime of shaves without any issue.
