mine was delivered today as well from a fellow DFS user. I didn't have much time to check it out before heading into work but it looked quite nice!

My forwarder got mine today. They would still need to sort, weight and take pictures. I can probably send it out next week once they are done.

Any news about the Black Mamba?

Get the heck out of here.

I just used mine.  Three days growth, no weepers, no red spots.  My wife asked me why I was petting my face at the dinning room table.  I think I scored a BBS I proclaimed.  She was not impressed but I was.  Tis good gentlemen, tis good!

Mine came today while I was at work. I used it tonight with a brand new Plat. I got nothing bad to say about the razor, but I wasn't overly impressed with it either. It's definitely too light. And very mild. I had a couple days on my face though. I'll try it again tomorrow.

The BS is certainly not suited for everybody. I like both weighty razors and lighter DE's. Sometimes, for me, the UFO and bulldog type handles are not really necessary on weekday morning shaves trying to get out the door. That's where the nimble and agile BS with a sharp blade comes in.

Also on another note for those getting one I always use a Q-tip to get out the machine shavings from the handle during assembly. I twist two or three Q-tips inside any new handle and those tiny black shavings always come out. Getting rid of that gunk ensures a smooth connection between the male and female threads. That silt is always in there, even in my UFO and Wolfman WRH7 handles.

Whenever putting in a new blade I also drop a bit high quality sewing machine oil on the top cap thread and handle thread to ensure a silky connection.

Gotta keep the Baby Smooth. Wink

Mild, but VERY efficient for me. I can see why people really like it. I always thought I liked heavier razors. I still do, but I am finding out that I like aluminum also for different reasons.

I have kept it in the rotation but I only use it with Feathers. It makes a good daily shaver.

Ordered another for myself or family. I started the thread back in January because I love the razor. The head is built out of one block of billet aluminum including the stem. Extremely well made.

I'm realistic with it. It's not for 4 days worth of growth. 1-2 days. Great Mon-Fri workday razor. I usually use a new or almost new Super Iridium and get great shaves. As good as my Wolfman, Timeless or 6S.

I love it because I use it as it's intended to be used. Great shaver. Happy2
