Gone are the days you have to make sure the cap is facing the right way. It’s lost some charm but this my favorite product from Rocnel ( won’t call it a sailor out of respect).

Well mine works this way. With the cap lettering turned backwards from the number marker it's like 1/2 setting. Should be the first picture.
With the cap facing where you can read it properly it's close to 4 settings.

I just tested it and I’m completely wrong. The text on the cap has to face away from the anchor. Will change the original post

I've got a few shaves in with the Rocnel Adjustable.
I like the weight reduction although the head is still on the large side.
With my every day shaving I'm finding setting 4-3-2 with a dial down technique Is a good ballpark setting, so far.
These razors with crank up to a level that puts my skin in the sore territory but not much closer shaving on the difficult areas of the mug.

The Rocnel Hybrid model I ordered on August 9th was delivered yesterday. I am sure that the finish is not in the league of a MC Sailor. However given the price difference color me impressed. With its SS head and Ti handle the balance was very good. Loaded with a fresh Nacet I set the razor on 4 and went with a 3 pass shave. The Hybrid delivered a super smooth drama free shave which is about the best I can ask for on a work morning. Overall, I am pleased with the razor.

I ordered one yesterday (with the SS ring). I think it looks more harmonious than the one with the copper ring. Will send pictures here as soon as it arrives. Peace.

Gentlemen, thank you for sharing your experience.
Who has (had) Master Sailor 2020: What do you think compared to the new hybrid razor (titanium-SS)?

My favorites are the 2020 and 2019 Sailors. They are not Master Series but love the longer handles on them and the knurling on the 2019 is the best knurled razor I have ever owned. The 2020 is built like Thor’s Hammer!

I can't argue with G. I actually like the 2020 better for handle length and weight. With that said, the hybrid is the only razor I've used since I got it. The hybrid, to me, shaves just like the 2020. I don't think I could tell them apart side by side...with the exception of the 2 points of length and weight.
