Top Cap: like current with "B & R"
Base Plate: DFS & 2017 LE (keep simple and readable)

The titanium is adding some cost and guessing the vendor is also not helping much on Group Buy price.

Assumed B&R vendors ordered low quantities to reduce risk and both the US and UK vendors now sold-out. Also appears B&R has increased their list price 25% or so as both vendors had the razor between $260 (UK no VAT strong dollar) and $299 (US vendor) with base. Great razor and high demand.

The $300-$350 new group buy price may exceed my budget. I will also say the price is reasonable compared to the other high end razors (Wolfman, ATT, Timeless, etc.)

I like your idea for the design of the top cap and base plate.

I wonder if too many people voted with their heart instead of their wallet. I am concerned that many people will opt out once the price is announced.

I also like the idea of the custom etching but only on the underside of the razor, not on the top cap.

Definitely no engraving on the top cap.

Base cap only please!

I understand the current B&R has a very understated B&R on top cap - almost too muted.

I did signup assuming a price based on the current vendors and hoping for slightly less. Actually the UK vendor offers a UK forum 10% discount (not shown in my $260 as not sure if any exclusions). Neither vendor has restocked so guessing some "issues" possibly including a big vendor cost increase. Rockwell is having troubles with their Model T and 4 months delay. Handlebar Supply is a favorite vendor and hoping for good price.

I am still working on pricing with Rocnel, I am doing my best to negotiate a lower price. However it is proving difficult due to the small number of members able to afford this razor, which is totally understandable. Virtually no buying power here, but Murat from Rocnel has been kind enough so far and is willing to work with us.

Therefor, the titanium plating was an idea thrown into the mix along with custom engraving to make this more special to the forum, without adding to the final group buy cost. I am also working on getting a stand, we will see what happens.

I like the idea of engraving under the topcap as well. "DFS 2017" and then maybe a serial number or "LE Edition #1 of X"
I was informed this titanium B&R would be unique to DFS only. I will have Rocnel do a firm confirmation on that before we move forward. Communication is quite delayed back and forth, sometimes I don't hear back for several days before a response. If anyone has any questions I should ask please feel free to PM me.

I'm out. As I've said many times 300 bucks plus for a razor in my view isn't for me. Can't justify it when my vintage gillettes and numerous other razors get the job done at a fraction of that. I can buy a lot of projectiles for my other hobby for 300 bucks and have fun on the range, but congrats sounds like it will be a great razor at a discount for you guys! Enjoy it.

I actually hoped that if I voted for the razor and enough people were interested in it price might of settled around $200 - $230 tops, but now as I see custom engravings, unnecessary titanium coating over the SS is in plan and stand also which will bring the cost close to $350 - $400.... Obviously this is group buy not to get better price but to break the wallet, but something tells me that this will be maybe 5-7 people group buy? if that's what you want to call group buy.... Well George you can count me out lol
