This morning I used a Rockwell blade for the first time.
I noticed it's thicker than most blades. It wasn't uncomfortable at all but I could definitely feel the blade more than others. I loaded it into my frankenrazor with the head of a Merkur 1904 OC and a Rockwell handle. All in all it provided a really smooth, and comfortable shave.

Anyone else try any Rockwell blades yet?

Since they are thicker, I may give it a test wrong with the Rocnel razor. Thanks for your assessment.

They've quickly become my favorite blade in my cabinet. It's an all-around smooth shaver

I use them in rotation, little less sharper than the feathers but much smoother, Rockwell and voshkods on top of my list. I think the personna and the Sputnik are about there

Do you have to pre order and prepay for these? Get on a list first and then get them months later? Big Grin

I was very impressed with the blade. It performs very well in all of my razors, not just the Rockwell. My go-to blade has been the Astra SP, but I find this just as smooth and perhaps a bit sharper.

Order fulfillment was excellent as well. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

does it offer less flex than a typical DE blade?

Less flex is an advantage in my book. I'd be interested in an answer to that question also.

I believe so, but to be honest I didn't play around with the blade too much. I just noticed it being a little more firm and thicker while I was removing the paper wrapping.

I genuinely feel that it does offer less flex. Although, keep in mind I'm no expert on these matters.
