Does Anyone have one of these?  Appears to be the same concept as the ATT line... different plates etc... only catch is it's 80.00 not 300 for three plates.  The razor looks good, and appears they can be ordered now and shipped a week or two after ordering... Can anyone shed any light?  This one looks very tempting.

I was one of the backers in the original Kickstarter.  The concept is interesting, but the razor I received is essentially unusable due to significant production and QC issues with the top plate.  Blade exposure is very uneven, the blade shows a distinct wave, and with the mildest plate, there is no apparent blade gap at all.  The handle is quite nice, good heft and nice knurling, though nowhere near as nice as my ATT Atlas handle.  Due to variations in the caps, I know others have had a better experience and quite like the Rockwell, but mine is a paperweight right now.

New caps are being produced for distribution this fall, which will hopefully result in a more consistent and usable product and something that is market-ready.  I wish them wel, as it's an interesting concept at a decent price if they can get the quality and consistency fixed.  That said, once I have received a new top cap and can confirm that it is functional and safe, I plan to sell mine as I don't need another razor.

Another of our members here had pretty much your experience and he, too, was an original Kickstarter investor.

So are the ones for sale on their Website today the ones with issues or the ones that have been already fixed.  I would think the latter if they are selling them now since they were made aware of their initial run problems when they were still a kick starter endeavor

I believe what they are selling is still from the original run, as they just sent an update to backers that tooling is underway to produce the new caps.  I think the caps currently being sold are being checked prior to shipping to ensure they are usable, but buyers will probably be able to have a replacement cap shipped when they are done.

I Was very very tempted, i then spent some time checking threads on various forums with the result that I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. That said if the new tooling is up to scratch then its a great affordable concept

Hopefully this isn't against any rules on DFS, but I have a thread on B&B that quite extensively covered the issues/pros+cons of the Rockwell 6S.

I was an original backer. I'll echo all of the above. I have hope that the new top caps will resolve the remaining issues. There's always a "caveat emptor" element to a Kickstarter campaign and you never know what you'll get. I've found their efforts to be more than admirable in fine tuning and making good on their first run.

Boy I would hate to see the wraith if the fix doesn't work.
