Rex Supply Co. Konsul Slant DE Razor DFS pass around

The package from Matt arrived yesterday with the razor, full size tub of soap, a full aftershave splash and a bunch of samples.

I used the splash 2 times on my head so far. I love the smell of the "old school" scent Matt sent to us. I think it smells better on the skin than in the bottle, probably because you can smell the scent in a more nuanced way.

The splash has a tacky feel when I put it on my head, which I tend to like rather than the tightening that some alcohol splashes have. I also didn't notice any burn from this splash.

The scent had very long staying power, I was easily able to smell it 10 hours after initially putting it on.

I hope to use the soap & razor over the next few days before passing it along.

razor is going out to Dave in KY tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to wait until my bathroom remodel is done before trying out any new DE razors and soaps. I already dropped my beard trimmer in my half bathroom last week and luckily didn't break anything on it...the head just popped off of it.

It was supposed to be delivered on this Saturday but is arriving early. I show it out for delivery today but I will not be home till after 8:00 p.m. tonight. Will update when I get home and confirm it safe arrival.

2nd use on the Rex Konsul and Razor Emporium Soap. I think I took the soap to far with water as it was a lower structure and thinner lather. It was still stable and gave adequate protection/slickness for me to skate around my face with the Konsul at it's highest setting of 6.5 which was still a comfortable and drama free shave. Did not even reopen the pimple removal of yesterday. I sit here BBS with no irritation and no weepers. I will try a Wizamet blade tomorrow which is my typical go to blade. 3rd and final shave with the Konsul Slant Adjustable by Rex. Thanks Matt at Rex/ Razor Emporium and andrewjs18 for doing this pass around. Great smooth shave again on setting 6.5 which is as far as it goes. Final thoughts on the razor in addition to the thoughts on the 1st shave are on the 2 videos. Razor has been cleaned and given a swish in alcohol. It will be boxed up today and sent to next participant cornbread Monday Morning (Tomorrow). Have a great day !
