Rex ambassador razor

Hello,

One day I hope to own this beauty. I've followed up reading on this razor ever since it came out. IMHO I think its the perfect size for a De razor. I read that the first batched had some problems with adjustment ring being loose, and uneven blade exposure, razor head canting etc. My recent readings indicate that they have fixed all of the problems. Is like to hear some feed back on this razor from you guys that own or have used it.

So how does it shave? Is the blade stable on the higher settings? I love my Slim and my Fatboy, but the only thing I dislike is that on the higher settings (8-9) the blade chatters.

I heard that the first batches of Rex razors had a more dull brushed finish. According to the post below that I pasted/copied. Is that the newer 18' models have a more refined satin finish. IMHO I think it looks more refined. I'm not for the completely mirror polish. I bought a Mongoose razor 3 years ago and I had gotten swirl marks in the finish just by towel cleaning and dying. High mirror polish is very easllily scratched just by wiping of with a towel, even on very high Rockwell hard steel knives with a mirror finish. Then again im not for very dull finishes either. I like a in between, something like a very light satin finish that still has some sheen. Like the one down below. So does the company finish them to a brighter polish now?

Just go it in several minutes ago. High polish finish and expertly made. It doesn't get any better. Best part made in USA.

I just figured out how to post a picture. Lol Anyways this razor that slantman owns looks like a brighter satin finish compared to the earlier model's. And that's a good thing!

The blade is stable at sll settings. The adjustment works differently than a slim.
