Second shave with my REX tonight. Last night was Oneday which is reserved for my OneBlade. Thinking there might be a face off brewing, I used my OB with reckless abandon, applying pressure, rushing my strokes, and making believe I was 10 minutes late for an appointment. This is when my OB preforms he best and I got a very comfortable two pass BBS.
Tonight, after learning the lessons of Saturday, I started my REX with a setting of 4.5 for my first pass and lessened my angle. There was slightly more blade feel, but nothing uncomfortable. This time I DID achieve a one pass DFS! Even my OB from the night before left a little more stubble. Second pass, I lowered to 3, but for my problem areas, I raised it to 4 and then lowered it down again. Love that you can do that with the REX. For all the effort, I ended up with a two pass BBS with no touch up.
Saturday's question was "what am I going to do with my Progress and Variant?" Tonight's question is "how do I make less lather since I don't need it?"
