Fun review! I agree this soap is special stuff. Need to use it again in the next few days, in fact.

Yes, but is he wearing red lace, or black leather?

We are all adults here...I think...Wink

Oh, good point. Normally I'd say black leather, but now I wanna be cheeky and say: both. :-)

If a shaving soap can lead to such an apt and poetic expression as this, well, gentlemen, we're in the right hobby!

Oh yes indeed, shaving and fragrance can be very naughty hehe. I just put up a review of Histoires de Parfums 1740 Marquis de Sade over on FragranceDaily. How can a fragrance by that name not lead to pearl clutching? Wink

HdP 1740 is good stuff! Some day remind me to tell you about wandering into the HdP shop in Paris and geeking out with Gérald Ghislain, head of the whole operation. :-) Their whole line-up is great.

Oh my onethinline, I am so jealous!! 1740 is one of the few from the brand that truly appeals to me, but I've always respected the line and what it stands for. There is some artistry there, and Ghislain is a master at the craft.

Oli, when I started reading the first review I didn't know where it was headed. All I can say is that it not only explained the scent but put a smile on my face. How many reviews do that? Happy2
