share your restaurant meals!

my wife took me to a local restaurant in Philly a few weeks ago that has amazing burgers. the name of the restaurant is taproom on 19th.

here's my burger with pork roll, cheese and an egg, along with fries and a chipotle mayo sauce, I believe.

the wife's burger, without the bun and pork roll. she got bacon on hers instead:

our dessert was fried bread pudding & berries and cream:

andrewjs18, that looks delicious but, for me, that might be a once in a year treat. My arteries were closing just looking at those photos. (That doesn't mean I didn't want any, especially the bread pudding,  one of my favorite desserts. Big Grin )

What!?? No pork roll for your wife? And you're still married? :-)

The wife and I miss it so much that we make our own to keep from going into withdrawal.

Nice looking meal, but I would have enough with just the entrée; or come back hours later for dessert. It all looks delicious.

I don't think she gets down with pork roll or scrapple. me...I love them both.

Andrew, you're killin' me here!

Tell me, does "Steak and Brew" still exist in NYC? The wife and I have good memories of the place. Probably the mid 70s, outside of a concert hall (Renaissance concert). Yeah, it was like a century ago, I know. Neither of us can even remember the name of the hall.

this was lunch the other day. pork & chicken tamales with pico de gallo from a local Mexican restaurant, Taste of Pueblo, that comes out to a local farmers market near me each week. The tamales were great and I eat about 32oz of their pico de gallo each week!

I did google Steak and Brew and it appears they are a thing of the past. What a shame!
