Reintroduction to classic shave soaps

I think I mis-titled this thread, but have no idea what it should have called it. My personal "classic" or "standard" shave soaps maybe?

Those terms will be different for folks who started wetshaving, 1, 5, 10...years ago!

As far as Neo's list, I'd say that only the Valobra base is a "classic" which includes AoS (tallow), C&S, and Valobra hard soaps (both the shave stick and the newer pucks).

In that case daverasi, I'd double down on my C&S pick . It's a great soap and I plan on using it tomorrow.

Is discontinued tallow-based Yardley a classic? He-he.

Btw, I think I'd consider SMN a classic; my first experience with Crema da Barba was about ~15 years ago (around when I first started this hobby), so CdB has been around for at least that long.
