Recs for Thick, Coarse beard

I'm looking to upgrade from by DE89. Unfortunately my budget isn't large at the current time so what are some cheap choices to get a closer shave?

GEM MMOC? Adjustable injector? Fatip slant? Muhle r41?

Only because I'm still waiting to try the slant which is somewhere between Netherlands and California.

I don't know the percentages but more alignment issues than most razors due to the hand welded posts . My four are perfect FWIW. I wouldn't buy one with black plating however, that's not good ever.

If you're worried about a lemon, buy used off BST, Amazon with return privelege (or buy 2 from Connaught). Not sure about how Maggard handles Fatip return but I imagine no problem if you get unlucky.

You could always try one or two shims in your DE89 before purchasing a new razor to save money.

I'm also a big fan of the MMOC. Won't cost much to find out if you like it. No QC issues. You will get a closer shave.
