I've tried a few tobacco soaps, but none have stayed around. I've had a cherry tobacco from Blackship Grooming
It was nice, but a bit too much cherry for my tastes. Also had tobacco from Hendrix Co. I kinda liked that scent (a bit more towards the cigar, maybe?) but I believe (it's been a while) it irritated my skin? Finally Catie's Connecticut Shade, which for some reason didn't smell quite right.

I'm thinking something more akin to a sweet pipe scent, rather than cigar or flower scent. A lot of them talk of other ingredients and I am curious how that helps or distorts the scent. Such as PAA Cavendish, which is more than tobacco but still looks promising.

Anyone have any suggestions? I already have other samples I want to buy (SW Samhain, B&M Frankly my Pear, etc), so I might grab some tobacco soaps samples if I can find them.

Thanks in advance for any help you folks can offer. Happy Friday!

Hi Paul,

Have you tried Maggards Tobacco & Leather? I like the tobacco scent on that one a lot (along with the leather)

WSP Tobacco is also nice, but a very "clean" take on the tobacco scent

I haven't tried either. I am looking closer to a sweet tobacco... Leather would be a scent that would likely place it out for me. I've tried Cuir et epices and it was pretty good, but definitely too far gone from what I'm imagining.

I read that WSP was more tobacco flower. I'm thinking sweet pipe tobacco without much more to distract (maybe vanilla, maybe bourbon... But those are usually paired with cigar tobacco scents, so wrong direction for me).

Thanks for the suggestions, always appreciated!

Hey Dominic, Isn't that scent a dark tobacco and musk? I'm looking toward a sweet scent, no cologne or musk.

I'm picturing something Akin to a sweeter Paladin Black, which my stepfather used to smoke... or something similar. Mellow and sweet for sure.

Pardon my ignorance. I can't recall smelling any other tobacco scents (Tabac maybe closest). I'm not sure what you classify as "dark" and if EJ fits that. I just know it's a strong seller and lots of people like it. And as always, you know how it goes with us on happiness with something. Bouki could probably describe it better than me.

Yikes, I had to go look around and I cannot find the reference to 'dark'... I'm wondering if I made that part up after reading 'spicy and musky'? My bad.

Fwiw, as a point of correction, it's: "A masculine mix of Tobacco and Musk. Picture yourself driving through the tobacco farms of the American Southeast. It's that good. El Jefe has a tobacco top note with a spicy, sweet musky base. Some folks even swear they smell a touch of cinnamon."

So definitely a sweet tobacco with spice and musk notes.

I love tobacco scents and my top 3 right now are probably House of Mammoth Tobacconist, Eufros Tobacco, and Australian Private Reserve Fenchurch (sadly, not available anymore). I know, 3 soaps that are nearly impossible to buy samples of. If you PM me your address, I can send you smooshes of Tobacconist and the Eufros one if you want. I did have Fenchurch too, but I killed that tub long ago. It was too good to sit unused!

Hey wyze0ne . Thank you for the kind offer.

Reading the reviews, it sounds like Tobacconist is a large mix, well beyond just tobacco. Kinda worries me as I'm shooting for something pretty straight pipe tobacco.

Eufros might be hard to find, based on the results I'm seeing. They don't seem to have any scent description to their product, but reviews put it as a cherry tobacco? I'm actually avoiding Cherry this time around.

Thanks again for the offer.
