If you want sweet tobacco look no further than Wholly Kaw's new Tobacco Dolcé cream.

Just be sure to let it air out overnight when first acquired, otherwise way too sweet. But that one night left open yields a fantastic scent; one of Sri's best ever

mrdoug, Tobacconist has zero cherry in it. To me it's the most realistic straight tobacco scent I've smelled aside from sticking your nose in a bag of fresh dried tobacco. It's not really sweet pipe tobacco though due to the addition of some dry, woody notes. More like roll-your-own cigarette tobacco.

Eufros has more of an anise (black licorice) note to it to some. It's not that strong to my nose but if you don't like that or are sensitive to it I would stay away. Two very different scents to be sure, but both are very good tobacco based scents in my opinion.

I don't know how to describe it, and I'll probably do a horrid job... But is this more of a desert scent that has notes of tobacco?

I currently have Mick's Proper Shave Tomas. Their description is: "the smooth aromatics of pipe tobacco, creamy vanilla and opulent spices." What I get is "A spicy vanilla dessert... but wait, I think I smell hints of tobacco buried waaay down in the scent."

That's not to say I don't love the Mick's soap, I just didn't find it tobacco scented, imo.

I have to say, your descriptions are much better than what I've read about them. I haven't, obviously, smelled the soaps. But yours are more definitive. Very helpful, thank you!

I'm definitely not looking for cigarette tobacco scent.

Tobacco Dolcé, once left out to air overnight is not dessert like to me. Am a Dunhill pipe man, generally preferring Dunhill Early Morning Blend or vintage Balkan Sobrané. Definitely not a chick tobacco scent man - prefer latakia.  It very tobacco with a hint of dolcé once aired

My first recommendation:

PAA Cavendish

The soap scent is a bit lower than medium to my nose, but it's an amazing scent.  The aftershave is much stronger, and the star jelly and rinse-free hand wash both have staying power.

My second recommendation:

Dulci Tobacco is nice.  It's very Dulci, but the tobacco is definitely there.

I agree that Wholly Kaw's Tobacco Dulce is a bit sweet, but the scent is heavenly in my opinion.  I will warn you that it's more of a cream.  As such, it's a little different than shaving soap to lather.  I still haven't perfected it yet, but I like it too much to stop trying.  The post-shave feel is also great if that matters to you.

To shave or not to shave, is that really a question?

I have a number of tobacco scented shaving soaps. These include Eufros Tobacco, WSP Tobacco, Asylum Old Virginia, and Los Jabones de Joserra Rodrigo de Jerez. All of these are very good with Rodrigo de Jerez being the best, if you can find it. The Razor Company had it a couple of times but it seems to have disappeared from their selections. I also possess B&M The Full Measure of Man which I cannot recommend due to its syrupy note.

Wow. That brings me back with the references to Dunhill and especially Balkan Sobranie. Latakia is definitely a tobacco that I used to love as part of the blends I smoked. I no longer smoke a pipe though I do retain a few of them including my favorite Dunhill, a Charatan and a beautiful Meerschaum carved with the face of Cleopatra. I miss it. I suppose this means I will have to check out Tobacco Dulce (or is it Dolce?)

As info, Tobacco Dolce not loaded with latakia, was simply referencing my experience with tobacco scents; the Wholly Kaw scent though is quite nice if left open for a day or two when first purchased - otherwise the sweetness is a bit much
