I don’t like SHD knots as I personally find them hard to use for getting a good face or bowl lather. What are some high quality badger brush options that don’t have SHD knots?

Are you talking about not liking a specific brand of high density knot or just all of them in general?

All in general...

Hard to say really. TGN has quite a number of knots that have no mention of density. Maybe go for a custom handle only and try installing your own knot? Or I’ll bet one of the artisans here could help ya.

You could buy handles alone and put your own knot in. Whipped Dog has a Silver Tip that is less dense but a good knot. I have one in a ferrule for my Rubberset 400.

I happen to love SHD knots. The face feel is very comfortable. I feel that SHD knots use more soap, but in my case that’s a good thing. I think you’ll probably like most knots that don’t have ‘’SHD’’ in it’s description. In fact there are many who don’t like high density as they feel that there is not enough flow through. So in your case avoid ‘’SHD’’.

That's a question for the ages..... It is so much personal preference, it's like asking what your favorite car is. There are a number of really, good quality manufacturers in the market, and just as many opinions. As you can see in the responses, there are many who like the SHD and some that don't. You can take recommendations from them. but it comes down to what satisfies your personal requirements. You may go through a few before you find one you like, but that's the nature of the beast. Besides, if you try a few and don't like them, you can always donate to a friend to invite him into the "club".
Do a Google search and a lot will come up.
If you are looking for a decent, immediately available, non-custom built brush, try Maggard Razors site. They have a lot to choose from.
Good luck on the quest.
