I have shaved these past 5 days with the Above the Tie H2, utilizing steep angle (really really steep) and it has gotten me the best shaves of my life (specially on the neck). It really feels like shaving with training wheels (almost like cheating), but It gives the easiest BBS on the neck that you can imagine.

Of course this has now triggered my aquisition disorder up a notch and now I would like to know which other razors also have this Steep angle affair. As of now I have the following razors on my buy list due to reading they also love steep angle:

Muhle R41
ATT H1

Question: Any users of the H1, H2 or R41 also love steep angle shaving with them?

The H2 has now replaced my beloved R1, as my primary and daily razor. Same BBS, but even easier.

I'm an R41 user and I'm alittle surprised or maybe I misunderstand but my angle is almost 0 with no pressure at all. The angle is so flat you could actually sit a coin on the top cap doing my first vertical pass (sideburn to the jawline). I do angle slightly with my horizontal passes but it is still steep. and it is a BBS shave every time.

Ok...I think we are all on the same page after re-reading the posts. Yes I have a very steep angle!

YEP , you are 100% using steep angle!

I only have one aggressive DE razor, Ikon Tech, that I received as a gift. The one and only time I used the razor, I went with a very shallow angle and did not enjoy the shave very much. I will try a steeper angle the next time. Thanks for the tip.

I hope the steep angle works for you, Clint. It makes all the difference for me, and makes the Ikon Tech my closest and easiest shave. No pressure!

Have you considered Pils? In my experience it shaves similarly to the BlackMamba, but the BlackBird is the winner!

Now this I have to try. I bought an R41 head and always seem to get rough but efficient shaves out of it.

Since Shane won't say it, I'll say it for him. A blackbird also shaves similarly to a bbs1

Get a polished version if you don't want to have both. =)

Okay that's it. Blackbird is now on my to be acquired list!

The RR stealth slant uses a pretty steep angle.
