Razorock XXX LE - hard soap

Did anyone else get a tub of the RazorRock XXX LE hard soap?

I received mine and it smelled a little almond-ish. Like a hint of Classic in there. Maybe it was dried nearby some Classic?

Anyone else have a run to compare?

I passed on it both times I had the opportunity. With nothing else on my want list, paying $10 shipping killed it for me.

That said, I don't believe the smells would transfer from one soap to another.

I didn't pick up the LE as I have a relatively full tub of the regular XXX. I agree with @bruce in that I wouldn't think it would pick up scent from adjacent soaps but would interested to hear what you think after lathering. Could just be the way it was aged or the wooden boxes, etc. that is altering the scent in the tub.

I bought one. To me it seems like the same scent but it's slightly stronger than the standard stuff. I didn't notice any almond scent. Performance is great. I did notice I had to use more water while face lthering than with the original XXX. Have you noticed this or am I just imagining things?

Got a tub of it recently, Sleeper, but haven't tried it yet. Put the nose to it when I got it, but don't remember my assessment.

This wet shaving is a full time job! If I change one variable at a time and live another 10 years, I will croak still with untested razors, blades, soaps, and AS! And, there's more coming!    Note to self: Begin a shaving journal, your memory can't handle the load anymore!

I believe its recommended to use the Marco method. I think the website mentions it, so your not imagining it.

XXX tipo duro is excellent stuff. The scent is stronger and performance is even better than regular XXX.
