I would also love to hear your impressions of it once you've had a few shaves with it. The Stealth is so widely regarded but it's price and availability deter me from getting it myself.

So bummed about this. I was ready to go and then slept in on accident. They were sold out by the time I woke up... Congrats though, I'm sure you'll love it! I hope Joe keeps on pumping these out.

This is the razor that I have my eye on for my first "non main stream" DE razor. I'm trying slants out first with a Merkur 39c. I think that like OptimistPrime, the slant razor is going to best for my neck and its weird growth patterns. I'm only a year and six months into wet shaving, so I'm trying new things periodically and think I'll be ready to get something like RRSS within the next few months.

I was lucky enough to snag myself a kiyara aluminium slant at the end of last year. It is one of only three DE/SE razors I seem to use any more , I use a Fatboy, Stealth and a Mongoose and also I have a few straight razors.
I felt the SS was an absolute revelation when I first used it. It gave a really smooth shave with very little (if any) irritation at all, the problem area's for me that we all have were taken care of with less strokes than experienced with other razors.
It does have a small window of effectiveness I felt when using it but when you find that small window, for me it wiped the floor with the efforts any other slant or "aggressive" razor I had used beforehand could manage. The only criticism I could muster for it was due to the thickness of the head it can be a little bit difficult to get it right under the nose at the top lip area but with some manipulation of my snozzle it was fine.
However don't believe that it is virtually impossible to cut yourself with it as some people may say, although it exhibits the winning traits of being "mild" but giving a super smooth shave with minimal effort it is still a razor loaded with a razor blade and I have cut myself with it. I should also quantify that by admitting that those cuts were down to complacency on my part as such is the smoothness of the razor I began to use it a bit to carelessly.
Another gent in the community has did a temporary swap with me with a view to making it permanent for his stainless steel version and I'm giving that a go right now. I've only used it a few times but early indications are that the considerably heavier stainless version may have pushed the Stealth razor design too much as quite some attention has to be paid to every stroke with that monster. The shaves are improving as I become more used to the added weight though.

a razor id like to try. i have a rrbs which is great and i own many razors but only slant ive ever tried was a 102 but never a torqued blade slant. the rrss is just too hard to get a hold of and when people buy from site they then charge double to buy it off them.

Stainless version is a different beast. When I used it for the first time after having used aluminum version for a week, I was shocked at how different they felt.
stainless version felt very very aggressive, and I could feel a lot of blade on my face. In fact, it almost scared me a little that I almost thought I couldn't finish the shave with it that night. I stuck with it, finished the shave, got an extremely close shave, touch closer than the one with aluminum version.
Both are great razors, but they have two completely different characteristics.

Hey Folks...sorry for coming late to the party. I've been extremely busy so busy that I have yet to try the slant out!
Will have a shave with it within the next week and a review will follow... For those of you who own or have used the SS have you always noticed the "clicking" of the razor once the head clamps down and locks the blade into place? Mine doesnt "click" though the blade does seem locked & secure.

I think that was common with the V1's. I have a V3 and there is no click.
