what is the difference between the bead blast and the stonewashed finish if any?

Finally delivered, can't wait to take the Lupo 95 for a spin tomorrow morning-- Superbowl Sunday! Mine came with a RR pouch. I'll review the 95 Lupo after my 1st shave.

Stonewashed finish gives a “dirty” or 
“used” finish ,where some parts 
( edges in particular ) look “shinny” ,
while the rest of surface has a mottled/ dull finish .

Bead blasting gives a homogeneous 
satin /matte finish .No darker or brighter 
areas ( no “dirty” look) and no shinny vs
dull areas ( no “used” look ) .

Lupo 95 is an Amazing performing razor. Gives you just the right amount of feedback to know its doing its job and mowing down the growth. Less blade feel than I anticipated. Wonderful BBS experience. The 95 Lupo hit all my sweet spots: Aggressive enough too use daily but not too Aggressive. Can be used 2-3 days of growth as well so very flexible. Good amount of blade feel. In comparison to my Blackbird Titanium-- The Lupo 95 has more blade feel. The Blackbird Ti is both smoother and more efficient, BUT it appears results are the same after 3 passes (Blackbird Ti only needs 2). On paper you would expect a Wolfman or Blackbird to blow out the Lupo 95, but the reality is that it's so close in all the important attributes to Experienced shavers that I now rate the Lupo 95 as the best bang for the your hard earned buck in all of wet shaving. (Tied with Yates H, but Yates is more expensive). To me the Yates H is smoother but the Lupo 95 is more efficient. Lupo 95 though still maintained it's Smoothness throughout the shave. This razor hand down, at least to me (YMMV) CAN PLAY WITH THE BIG BOYS. I have it ranked higher than Carbon Cx any plate, GC 84, Tatara, Timeless, CG Everyday, Homelike razors, ATT Windsor. It's a way better razor in my experience than Rex Ambassador or Envoy. Closest razor that I had tried with exact blade feel is the Alpha Outlaw But the Lupo 95 is more efficient and comfortable/smoother.

Me thinks already that the new 2021 series
are the best of the Razorock ss DE razors  ,
so far at least .

Very efficient but still remains smooth enough,
user friendly and unwilling to bite,zero blade
chattering,high agility ,high precision and
extreme manoeuvrability and all that packed at a reasonable price.

I’ve noticed also the design changes at
the bottom side of the base plate.
Curves have replaced ridges and the letters
& numbers are more  “ clean “ .
Far less machining marks than the GC series,also.
And the few marks left suggest very fine,
of high precision with very low tolerances,machining .


Hands down ,the Lupo 95 is the best razor

Guess I need to try the .95 Lupo as I find the Yates H just as efficient as my Blackbirds. Anyone know when they'll be restocked?

Is anybody else having a difficult time receiving their Lupo? 
I was hoping the mail service was back to normal. 
My Razor was shipped January 15th.

What state you live in. I am in central US so everything I order from IB goes through Chicago customs and they are notoriously slow as molasses. I quit buying my shave soap/blades from them as it takes too long to get it. Now razors I do not mind as RazoRock DE's are incredible and worth the wait to me, but not other items.

The head profile of the Lupo 95 and the Yates H are very different. The Yates H head profile resembles the Blackbird and locks you into its given geometry, so the angle is easier to find. The Stonewash finish on the Yates doesn't impede the shaving experience as I experienced very little drag but with an elite soap like Kaizen/Milksteak I didn't experience any drag.

The Lupo clamps the blade closer to the edge and the blade is more flattened. Meanwhile the Yates H curves the blade more and clamps the blade a little more back. Both razors hold the blade down very tightly with no blade chattering. Both razors display tight tolerances.

The Yates has 2 lather channels while the Lupo has 4, so I had to do more rinses on the Lupo.

Yates H is quickly becoming one of my most enjoyable razors. I really enjoy how locked in the shave is, and the results are BBS with no irritation or weepers.

The Lupo 95, based on my initial impression is definitely a RAD killer if you want to stop here. But it's not a razor for a beginner imo. The Yates H is more so for the beginner if he/she likes high efficiency razors imo.
The Lupo 95 has a narrow angle, but it is easy to find. Because it has a good amount of blade feel you can get it to smooth out significantly. So the feedback is better on the Lupo 95 than the Yates H if you prefer feedback and rely on that to do fewer strokes like I do.

So to me, again YMMV, the Yates H is smoother than the Lupo 95, meanwhile the Lupo 95 has greater efficiency. They are very close to each other, actually tied in my ranking.

Which is more enjoyable to use? You may ask.
-- the Yates H because it's more unique in it's stonewash finish, can do a more mindless shave and not pay attention as much as Lupo 95, has better balance with that awkward skinny handle (will have to try a titanium handle next on the Lupo), and lastly I got the best customer service from Jake over at Yates, much better than RR experience from the past. The customer service and forum involvement matters to me and is appreciated.

CzechCzar I would get both and sell the one you don't like for a small loss on BST. If I had to choose one it would be the Yates H ($125), but the Lupo 95 ($72.99) is not far behind.
The deciding factor to me would be face feel - Do you enjoy the Blackbird razor face feel than Lupo 95 would be it.
Do you enjoy Paradigm Diamondback face feel with less blade feel but still high efficiency than the Yates H would be my choice.

I shaved with the Lupo .72 and the Wizmet SI blade this morning.  GC Tao soap and CB Barnegat Bay splash.  Very nice shave and very close too.  Smooth.  I used the Wizmet in the Karve C plate on Saturday and found it not suited to that particular combination.  It was better in the Lupo .72

I've had a chance to use both the .72 and the .95 a few times with different blades and a couple of observations - I agree that the Lupo, both the .95 and the .72 aren't beginner razors which isn't to say that a beginner can't be focussed enough to figure out the technique its just that its easier to do that with a more forgiving razor.  

Second, the .72 is very close to and the .95 almost bang on the same shave as my Wolfman WR1 - (its standard gap I think .65?) at least on the SB side.  Obviously that was Joe's intent but as we all know, intentions and execution don't always align.  So if you're looking for the Wolfman shave experience without the price and the wait experience I think you'd like the Lupo.  I'm not about to sell the Wolfman but I just wanted to throw my thoughts out there for whatever they're worth.  If you wanted to take your Lupo up another notch towards Wolfman, you could send it to AlanH81 for a mirror polish!     Sorry Alan, now you're going to be swamped!!
