AQU thanks for a wonderful review. Really got me excited for my own order. How did you get it with the Halo handle? Or did you already have that one.

BTW, the Italian Barber product photos really are nothing compared to yours.

Not a big fan of OC myself but sounds positive and something I might try to grab in the next release. Also quiet impressed with the finish of the razor from your pictures considering the price.

Thanks for the first impression review

I bought it with another razor head. Thanks for the compliment on the photos. The clouds parted and it is sunny here today, so it was easy to snap some sharp ones.

The Lupo DC arrived this morning and I took it for a spin. I used a Voskhod on it's 3rd use and some Noble Otter I’m trying to finish. The GD gel really pumped some life into a splash formula that’s just ok (it’s older).

The .72 OC side felt very similar to the original as has been mentioned. While I normally stray away from OC, this one works. I find I have better success with more teeth and many, smaller gaps when it comes to OC.

I originally was going to use the OC for all 3 passes and then try the .95 SB later on... but curiosity got the best of me. I used the .95 for the second and third passes and it really shone! I was worried about how aggressive it might feel, but for me I was impressed with the smoothness. I’ll shave with it some more, but my thoughts during those passes were “why didn’t I just get the .95 SB plate?”

A very very close and comfortable shave, and I’ll see how long it lasts. A real winner for the price!
Awesome thoughts Tony. You have me getting excited !!!

Emperor of Shaving
I'm excited as well. Ordered the DC. Sounds very promising. I love the DLC Lupo. I think I will like this one too. The great thing with RR razors is you can buy just a base plate if you want to change things up.

I wish they made that Halo handle above in Ti.

Actually considered buying something shaving-related (for the first time since late June) when these dropped, but the .72 head with halo handle version seemed to go quick. Oh well, not like I was looking to buy anyway.

Have you tried their Ti Halo handle? I know it’s 10mm longer than the SS one, but it has a really nice feel and balance to it (with GC84, in my case).
