Very cool. Just hope there are choices for handles. Not a fan of the bomb tip.

Not only a choice of handles but three different base plates ( standard, open comb and aggressive)

I alluded in another thread to a poor past attempt at using an AC SE razor. I just confirmed with a buddy, from whom I borrowed his SE (Mongoose, I think) that the blades I used at the time were the Feather Supers, which I believe are wider, resulting in more blade reveal. I kinda twitch at the thought of trying again, but like a moth to a flame, I'll be tempted to grab the SS Hawk and give it another go with different blades this time.

I didn't get good results with the Feather Super in my AC razors, if you buy the Hawk, i think you should give the Schick Proline P-30 blades a try, they work great for me.

Heh, in anticipation of pulling the trigger the day the SS Hawk is released, I already have a shopping cart at Italian Barber stocked with stuff including Kai Titan Mild Protouch (with guards) blades for a quick checkout.  I'm basically flying blind so will first try what is allegedly the mildest and work my way up; perhaps the Prolines you suggest second (I think the best place to buy those is Rakuten?).  I'm not 100% certain I'll be a buyer on release day, but I'm gonna be ready to pounce should I decide to.

Is the SS Hawk 3 listed on there yet?
