If I may ask, will an optional base plate(s) be available some time down the line for the Gamechanger? Just to amp the shave up a bit? Thanks....

Anyone with some coarse facial hair try this yet? I have the mamba and it's really smooth. I was wondering how it
works with coarse hair.

RazoRock Game Changer
GSB
RazoRock XXX
Yaqi Evil Zebra(26mm, Frigate class)

First shave with the Game Changer was marvelous! Definitely more efficient then the Mamba with just enough blade feel to let you know where the blade is. There was no harshness to the shave and overall the GC was very smooth. By comparison I would say the the GC has the smoothness of the Mamba with the efficient of the MJ-90 with the A base plate. For those you you looking to make a comparison to a vintage Gillette I would say that the feel is somewhat similar to a Gillette New, though the weight of the stainless steel makes shaving with the GC pretty effortless. Finding the correct angle was very intuitive which led to a three pass BBS shave, no touch up required!

Also included in the package from Gus GlazedBoker were six soap samples and four tucks of blades:

I gave each of the soap samples a sniff, but none of them really jumped out to me. And since I am on a mission to reduce my soap inventory, I will be passing those along to the next person in the passarround. And since I have several hundred(each) of the blades that Gus threw in the box I will be sending those along too.

Nice write up Andrew. Couldn't agree with you more. Excellent blade feel but not overly so.
The samples & blades were just items that I had extras of. They're there for anyone to try. Happy2

Dear friends,

I follow closely this gamechanger passaround and indeed I'll consider getting one upon release.
Recently, I've been spoiled by the Paradigm 17-4 which IMHO is a true gamechanger by virtue of its accomplishments. There is a big price difference between the two razors, but for me to add another DE to the already large collection of modern and vintage DE's, (let alone the injectors and the Gem ones), I'd have to have a comparison between the 17-4 and this one. Indeed from now on everything I buy in terms of DE's has to compare to the 17-4. Not maybe exceed the spec. but it has to be a close call, or being as good in a different way. Therefore I would greatly appreciate a comparison between the two when the gamechanger gets to someone who has either the Paradigm 17-4 or the TiII.
