That's a single edge, the one previously posted as coming soon is a DE.

In the comments from that Instagram post he said the half DE blade razor would be released in 6-8 weeks. I don't have any info on a Full DE coming soon . . .

Hmm, wonder if Razorock abandoned the idea? The one I'm referring to is the first post.

I'm always looking for that perfect razor for me... But I'm invested in DE these days, so I'd not likely jump in on a SE, at least St this point.

There was a lot of interest in the El Lobo a while back, but then he posted on instagram a picture of two razors, one was the El Lobo and the other was what was later to be named the Switch. Both shared almost identical head designs (the Switch had a thicker base plate to accommodate a screw post on the side). Everyone went gaga for the Switch and after that nothing was heard of the El Lobo. The Switch is already on the IB web site and so I think it will be released very soon. This new half DE razor is currently in production and so I think the El Lobo is on the back burner, especially after he reintroduced the MJ90. If you're invested in DE razors, this new half DE will fit in because it uses your same DE blade (and maybe that's why he made it).

Ahh, so you can just snap the blades in half and use them?! As in you don't have to buy special half blades? That's awesome!

Interesting... Just saw the switch on IB. So that potentially shaves like a DE razor or a shavette? I can't wait to read the reviews. Certainly an interesting concept.

You can still use an after-market razor with the Blackbird. I have done it many times and it works well.
However, I think the original handle is one of the nicest designs I have ever seen in a razor handle and it feels very secure in hand while shaving, especially, the 101 mm handle. Smile

The initial offering will be anodized aluminum like the Lupo and switch. Joe also posted a photo on Twitter of a batch stainless steel Lupo's
