Razor Blade Tech Breakthrough

I'll be watching.  But I'll also remember the last crappy ride Gillette took me on with the "evolution" of carts.  If they'd stayed with Trac II I'd have never left.

Yup^  The Wilkinson Twin Blade is in the Dopp kit for travel.  Won't take a chance on NSA freaking out over a beloved DE with a blade.  But regs say you can have 4" scissors, really?

And they give me a GLASS rocks glass for my juice.  ( no way to make that sharp!?).  A while back they took a 6 inch crescent wrench from me because it was verboten.  I asked if they have ever had anyone take over a plane by threatening to loosen several tiny nuts.  I got a scowl.  Last week I had a forgotten utility knife in my kit and the TSA dude told me he would have to confiscate it.  I asked he let me see the knife.  I released the blade, handed it to him, and put the knife in my pocket.

Spit my coffee on the screen!  LOL!

This is interesting!  

I use vintage DE blades exclusively...mostly Personna 74s, Light Brigades, Schick Plus Platinum, And Gillette Platinum Plus...at any rate these date back to the 70s and 80s.

My point being if the large manufacturers wanted to up their games and improve upon these legendary blades they would have by now.  Hence I suspect that this new blade technology won’t be filtering down to the DE Market...SAD!

The suggestion that BAM may be used in bio-medical applications is interesting.  I'd like a BAM artificial hip so they can give me more that a 20 year lifespan of the hip - hunger people with bad hips could get them replaced sooner which means less pain, greater physical activity, better general health and happiness and a smoother shave.  I love science and engineering.

Well, at this point we don't know what may happen and for the mere pittance we pay for modern DE blades it really is inconsequential, at least for me. I'm just glad they still make DE blades. Period.

Crazy to think something so simple can continue improvement and development after so many years.
