ohh them shark blades are really bad yup.

Your post is somewhat confusing due to mentions of Rockwell, Jaguar and Shark. I think you are saying that the razor rash and mild burn was from the Rockwell blades. That is what I expected from what I have read about those blades.

The rockwell blade gave me a slight burn, not enough to go reaply aftershave or a balm. From what I remember they never gave me any razor burn and they seemed sharper that first pack,I’ll keep going and see what happens.
Now that was some quoting!

No idea what happened.
Yeah the sharks were horrible,I had the stainless steel tuck not chrome.

I made an order kast night from the razor blades club. Im sure i ordered 130 blades of a mix. I didnt order the Jaguar blades but maybe i should have. I may put in another order just to pick up a few more. I seen the Wis super iridiums were 12 bucks for 10. Crazy price.

Hope my order works out well. Good prices and free shipping is hard to beat.

Yeah, I noted that. Some of their prices for certain blades are good. Some others? Not so much. Wizamet is definitely one of them. I got mine from TRC for $2.69/10 blades. 100 are $21.99.

In my testing, the Shark Super Stainless and Super Chrome were similar in sharpness, but the Super Chrome was more comfortable. See if you have that same experience.

In the States, there are only two vendors that carry the Wizamet blades AFAIK.

The Razor Company has them for $21.99 per 100 blades as noted by metal_shavings. They were slightly more than that when I got mine.

Razor Emporium has them for $22.97 for 120 blades. That is slightly less expensive per blade than TRC.

I found the Wizamet blades to be both very sharp and very smooth, so they are well worth the price if purchased in bulk. The pricing is comparable to some other notable blades like Gillette Platinum, Personna Platinum, and Wilkinson Sword Classic.

Gasman   Order you a bunch of Wizamet blades from TRC or RE and enjoy your shaves.

I don’t have the shark super chromes…I just finished a second shave with the rockwells and they seem a bit sharper, smoother,,closer but not a BBS shave,no burn this time, from what I remember I think they last me 4 ok shaves..not great, not bad..they work ok.
I was on the razor blade club site placing blades in my cart and the 100 jaguars kept coming up 10..I don’t need 1000!!!maybe they see me coming?haha..them bics blades i’ll check out.

IMHO, the BIC Chrome Platinum blades are some of the best. However, be careful using them in an aggressive razor. While they do not start out Feather sharp, they quickly attain that level of sharpness. If you are caught off guard, they can peel off a layer of skin or draw blood. When used in the right razor with light pressure, they can deliver a fantastic shave.

Friday Afternoon Shave- Suneko Amorphous Diamond (new Platinum)

Typically, I have been waiting two full days between shaves to allow sufficient beard growth to challenge the blade being evaluated. However, my Thursday morning shave with the Van der Hagen blade was so poor that by Friday afternoon I had the equivalent of two days of beard growth. Normally, I begin my shave with a few strokes using the blade from my previous shave, but in this case I really do not want to feel the VDH blade on my skin again. Thus, I installed a fresh Sunkeo blade in the razor and started the shave. These blades were graciously donated by forum member ewk. Thanks Erik.

Suneko is a Chinese blade manufacturer. The only current source of the blade is AliExpress ordered in bulk. One vendor in North America was selling smaller quantities, but is currently out of stock. Sunkeo has been selling blades labeled as amorphous diamond coated. It amorphous carbon is actually being used, this is a super hard material formed by compressing carbon under high heat and pressure. Recently they added a “new platinum” designation to the blades. If amorphous diamond is supposed to be so special, why is a platinum coating needed? Do the blades still have amorphous diamond or just platinum or are both just marketing slogans??? Inquiring minds want to know.

Upon starting the shave, it was readily apparent that the Suneko blade was significantly sharper than the VDH blade, but that was not surprising. There was still significant blade resistance at the start of the shave. As the shave progressed, the blade appeared to become sharper. That is not unusual; many blades behave in a similar manner. By the third pass ATG, the blade was reasonably sharp. I was able to complete the shave using buffing strokes during my clean-up pass to achieve a near-BBS shave. Since it has been about a week since I was able to achieve a shave that close, I was pleased. After the shave, when I applied witch hazel, I received moderate feedback.

Based on the results of this shave, I am rating the Suneko blades 4 sharpness and 4 showing it to be an average blade. The blade evaluation spreadsheet has been updated. However, I have a suspicion that these blades might be capable of more in subsequent shaves. Thus, I plan to leave the blade in the razor and evaluate it again on Sunday. If the results improve, as I hope, I will update the spreadsheet after Sunday’s shave.

I didn't realize there were only 2 selling Wizamet. That explains the not finding them elsewhere. I did find them in a deeper search at one other site that appears to be the US, but I've never heard of them. The Wizamets really are nice and worth it to me.
