I almost exclusively use Wizamet Iridium Super Extra Stainless, so that’s what I have been using in RS-10 with both plates.

As Shavemd Mark said use no pressure and I'll add a couple of suggestions. If you have any wrinkles, age lines, cowlicks or any other skin irregularities try two things. One skin stretch like you are using a ST8 razor. Stretch hand follows behind razor head. Object is to create a smooth landscape. Think of shaving a balloon and the 2nd thing is try hand stropping the Feather blade. 3 very light strops on each side of the blade for a total of 12 all together and use the fleshy side of your palm to do it.. smoother and no loss of sharpness.

Great Shaves!

I'm curious if others are having a similar experience to me when I use my RS-10. When I tightened down the head on my RS-10 the handle marks or scratches the base plate. I noticed that in some of the pics in this thread where you can see the bottom of the base plate you can see a ring forming (next to the A on the base plate in the pics near the start of the thread posted by shavemd). The polish on this razor is lovely, but I've never had any other premium razor do this. The top of the razor handle is flat and is the one piece of the razor that isn't polished. Every time I use it, the ring becomes a little more pronounced. Seems like a design flaw which given the price point is disappointing. I enjoy the shave and wonder if others have noticed a similar issue.

That happens with most of my razors.
Something like this is your solution: https://www.abovethetie.com/products/3-p...er-10-pack

Go to the hardware store and get yourself a bag (5 pack) or more of #10 Nylon washers. They should be about $.99 a bag. I use these in every one of my razors to avoid the ring you are speaking of. I have an unreasonable distaste for those rings myself. And yes, if I do t usebthe washers I do get those in every one of my razors including Wolfman, BBS-1, Tradere, etc etc.

Cheapest solution on ebay:

In pull-down menu it should be: M5 (ID),10mm - OD, 1mm thick. BEST price is for 100ct ($6.50 free shipping from OK, USA)

Living on the edge
I picked up a few of these washers (40 cents for 10) as I had a new plate
and razor coming in.

They do work...altho I think that you still shouldn't over-tighten the handle
as it might, over time, leave a mark from the washer on the plate – which will
be less unsightly, faint, but still present.

Very unfortunate that they closed, I loved their work, specifically their razors stands looks very elegant
