After 55 people signed up on the pre-order list, only 12 people made the 50% deposit to move the project forward. All deposits will be promptly refunded.

I was one of the 12 too. It's a shame more didn't follow through on their word. I thought getting 50 of the 55 was a long shot, but I am surprised it wasn't more than 12.

I am sure he has his reasons, but I am a bit surprised that he decided to scrap the entire project. If I am not mistaken, the first production run of Titanium was for only 10 razors, so perhaps the second run should have been for 20-25 razors and I think (in another month or so) he could easily have hit that mark. I am a bit disappointed because I am such a fan of the SS version that I would really love to have a Titanium version.

be available again. After sending several emails, I never got a response. Non-communication is a deal breaker for me and I noticed that he stopped communicating after I politely passed on the first offer for the titanium RS-10. I also feel that the price is high on this razor even with both plates considering I can get a dual comb Wolfman with different blade gaps on either side for about $100-$125 less. Just my thoughts and opinion folks.

Interesting. I have exchanged over 40 emails with Avi over the past two months and have never had to wait longer than a few hours for a reply. He has always been extraordinarily courteous and goes above and beyond the call of duty answering questions and providing advice and support. I am sorry to hear that your experience has been different. Also, you mention Wolfman...I have never been able to get a single email response from James Dufour unless an order has already been placed. Not exactly a communication-friendly business model, but it doesn't seem to turn people off of Wolfman razors.

I do agree with you that the price points (on both razors) are a bit high compared to the competition. I think that at $295 for the stainless steel version (with both plates) would have been the best starting point at launch. That would also allow the titanium version to be offered for $400-$425 and it would have garnered more interest from people who are already fans of the company and of the RS-10. I think the RS-10 is one of the (if not the best) razor in my collection because of its unique blend of smoothness and efficiency. The only razor that comes close is my 17-4...now, I just want that titanium version!
You gotta try a Wolfman WR2 1.15/1.25. The smoothest and efficient

Avi has been great at getting back to emails in a timely fashion. I too was disappointed that the titanium project did not work out. Perhaps it will garner more interest again at a later time. His razors are nothing short of brilliant IMHO and are without a doubt; a top tier razor.

In no way am I knocking Wolfman as I have several in my collection and no modern razor can compete with its residual value but I did a side by side, split face, comparison of the WR2 standard plate Vs RS10 mild and the WR2 1.25 vs RS10 aggressive plate. In both these challenges i used Feather blades and the RS10 was definitely smoother for me. The Wolfman's may have been a tad more efficient in removing my whiskers, by this I mean 2 or 3 more strokes with the RS10 over my trouble spot. Both are magnificent razors and both are costly but the RS10 is readily available. I did receive an Email from Avi that he may relook at releasing Titanium again in the future.

I sent an email to Raw Shaving's contact email from their website on December 20th and never received a response. This was not related to the Ti model but I did ask a question about their product. I was disappointed in the lack of return email after such high praise has been given to him.

One thing wonderful about the shaving market is everybody's face ,skin ,and beard are different and what may work for 1 may not for another For me the RS10 is definitely a wonderful razor but nothing is better to the 1.25 WR2 Ti and SS for smoothness and efficiency. I would also put the Paradigm SE up there

I have to say that I love my stainless steel RS 10. I just have not had the best interactions with Avi since I turned down the first titanium RS10. I felt at the time that he felt like we had built a rapore via email and that I was just expected to purchase the titanium RS10 and when I told him that I would have to pass this time, something changed. This may not be the experience that others have had and that is ok. Again, that takes nothing away from the love that I have for my A plate RS10. I will say that I own a Wolfman WR2 SS DC 1.25 and that is the smoothest most efficient razor in my collection. As for as emailing James, I have always received a reply from him with questions about my first Wolfman WR1 DC .74, my 2 Guerilla’s (SB and OC) and this latest WR2. He may not be able to respond all the time but I have never had a bad interaction with him or a non response. Just my experience. Everyone’s is different.

Well, I was on the list and never heard from Avi or received any invoice for the deposit. Wonder if others who did not respond had a similar experience?

It may have been a little early to shoot for a big Ti RS-10 release. Most of us were still early adopters. There is a lot of buzz being generated (mostly by people participating in this thread communicating in other threads and forums) and it is just starting to garner more people who are planning to save for an RS-10.

Paradigm, Wolfman, and the RS-10 are all great razors. There are trade offs between any of them. If we are all honest with ourselves they are more alike than they are different and each of our accounts comparing them is splitting hairs and highlighting small differences. To say one is better than another is really hard to do.

Greetings dear wet shave lovers. I have been following for a long time with admiration on Raw Shaving RS-10 Aggressive Base Plates. But still can’t decide to buy it. First, the price is high. But the main thing is whether she will shave my problematic place, under the lower jaw, above the Adam's apple. I have a Blackbird with open and closed plates. And only he copes with my problem place, shaving it to the BBS. I had Pils, Blackland-DART, Muehle-89, Rockwell 6S. And all of these razors listed did not shave my problematic place, leaving hemp. Plus Blackbird for me is that he has a long blade overhang. And while shaving, I control the process, feeling the slightest stubble. While shaving with other razors, I missed the problem area, because of their softness, and the small overhang of the blade. They slipped, as it were, had to go through one place several times, thereby causing irritation. I was especially interested in the opinion of the respected "Petronius", who said that true Blackbird fans would not appreciate Raw Shaving. And on another forum, one user compared Wolfman with Raw Shaving. And he said that Wolfman is still more efficient, and Raw left only a small amount of stubble, and that is with a Feather blade. I thought, what about the softer blades? For example, the Blackbird shaves me effectively and with soft blades. Therefore, I ask you, please tell me. Should I buy Raw Shaving, or turn to more aggressive razors. For example, Timeless 0.95 open comb. Any your opinion will be useful to me. By the way, I recently got Muehle-41. So, having shaved her, I experienced the clearest and most gentle shave, especially with the "Voskhod" blade. I think he even jumped over the Blackbird. Thank you in advance for your answers. Regards to you. Alexander. I apologize for my English. I used a mobile translator.

I cant tell you to buy the RS10 but I can say it is one of my top 3 razors in my den, the smoothness of this razor with a feather blade is amazing! The mild plate is a great daily driver and I put the aggressive plate on when Ive skipped a couple of days shaving. The finish and quality is excellent also. With the aggressive plate I get the same results as I did with my blackbirds but much smoother.
