That really is a pretty spectacular handle ChiefBroom , do you plan to give it a high polish or will it stay satin?
Hi polish with carnauba wax. It's better for the Ebonite that way.

I can't shake this quote for some reason. Have to delete it manually every time I reply. I've de-selected it several times. Is there a trick?

Just curious as to the weight of similar handles made of polyester vs. ebonite?

Surprisingly, it's about the same. But very different feel. I don't know how to describe it. That's probably best left to others anyhow.

Ebonite is something special. Once it's more readily available I think I will upgrade as many brushes as I can.

The stuff is fantastic in hand. When I first picked it up it was a wow moment. Similar to how I felt with my first resin stabilized wood.... Even more amazing than when I got my first real horn brush (which I have sense sold off).

Re razor -  yes a shave Smith. How did you know without the traditional markings? (I'm still learning) the razor was a custom job for a store I stumbled upon during a visit to Montréal.

I have eyed his razors for a year now - intending to purchase something special and personalized one day. I like his style and yours looks very cool. If you don't mind - will you Pm me some pics outside this thread?

That ebonite is going to upset my current paladin collection, I can see it. I will aim for one when they come but I think they will have to have separate shelf space

That will look pretty awesome I suspect. If you look at the incredible ebonite colour array/combinations available on bowling balls, I imagine you are just scratching the surface of potential ebonite brush handle colours. I've been on a brush buying hiatus but this might just change that.Big Grin
