I have to state that with my latest knot order, I am really disappointed with Oumo. I have ordered 6 knots over the past 7 months and had great service from Oumo. However, on December 4th I ordered another badger knot from them. After 4 weeks, the tracking simply states: “customs failure”. I am not sure what that means or where it currently is located. Oumo won’t respond to my messages so I opened a dispute with the reason as “not received”. Aliexpress sided with Oumo because they state the brush was sent and is in transit. They released my funds to Oumo and I lost the dispute. Now, I am getting nothing from Oumo but crickets. The tracking for the last two weeks states just “customs failure”.

I have ordered a single brush from them twice. The first order went off without a hitch. I received the wrong brush handle with the second order.

I did not open a dispute. I beat the brush handle with a hammer, removed the knot, and am using it in a different handle!

I will no longer order from them. If I need a knot, I will pay a little extra and buy one that is already in the US.

I hope you get your order.

Lame to hear....interested in how you paid? Hope it shows up eventually!

I used my Visa so I will dispute it through them.  I am really upset that Oumo will not respond to my messages.  The dispute process with Aliexpress is lame.  Their English language skills are so bad that most of the time you don’t know what they are trying to say.

I just won’t buy from them anymore.

I placed an order with Oumo in mid-November. It took about 7 weeks to arrive. Apparently, I should have selected some other form of shipping instead of the cheapest.

One of their representatives was regularly in touch with me through Instagram during that whole time. Their tracking showed that the shipment was in the U.S. within two weeks of leaving China. She said that because of the trade war, things from China sometimes got stuck in customs for long periods of time. She told me to ask USPS about the shipment. I went to my local office and got a phone number to call. The service was automated and was of no help.

Oddly enough, the USPS tracking indicated that the parcel was in “Pre-Shipment”. Day after day. When I finally received the shipment, I entered the tracking number into USPS’s system once more, and it was still showing as “Pre-Shipment”. Go figure.

Anyway, my contact at Oumo was very happy when I was able to tell her that the shipment had finally arrived. I really appreciated the fact that she followed up frequently and tried to help navigate the situation with the experience she had. In the end, I think she was right — the shipment must have been stuck with customs or USPS somewhere.

A. Feitar I hope you either get a refund or that the shipment finally shows up some day.

I'd say 4 weeks is a bit too soon to complain, sometimes it can take up to 8 weeks.
Sounds like you ordered during the Black Friday / 11.11 Season, so there are bound to be some delays.

Sounds like the brush is stuck in the US customs, which you can't blame on Oumo to be honest.

If you have the tracking number, you can try different tracking services, sometimes the Aliexpress tracking does not update.

The badger knot I ordered is moving. After two weeks of no tracking updates, it is now with the USPS inside the USA. Still, my experience with Oumo and Aliexpress has been very frustrating. The English skills of the Oumo employee responded to my emails in a manner of English that was confusing and unclear as to what they wanted to convey. I also find the English written in email responses from Aliexpress equally unclear and frustrating. I have to admit that their English is much better than my Mandarin Chinese, but when buying from China communication between parties can be a hassle.

I don't think you can expect a Chinese seller to have the vocabulary of Shakespeare.
