yeah, that's normal since the new plugin we're using, simple likes, is not integrated in with tapatalk. I just checked on tapatalk and that's how mine looks too.

I can ask if the plugin author can consider integrating it but no guarantees.

andrewjs18, the garish blue Like is distracting and plunked right into the post, rather than underneath it:

The alert not telling me which post was liked is incredibly inconvenient.  When I see which post was liked in the alerts I can either go to it or ignore it.  Now, not seeing which post means I have to click on every one which is unnecessarily time consuming.  Not only that, it isn't very accurate.  For example, I clicked on your Like of one of my posts just now:

All it did was take me to the screen shot I showed, above, yet only Sourav's (@iamsms) like is there, not yours.  I have no idea if this is the post you Liked.

Finally, if you look where my post and feedback counts are, to the right of my avatar, they are now running into each other and are difficult to read.  This wasn't a problem before.

Perhaps the new Like system isn't as bloated but what is there now definitely looks a lot more bloated and not nearly as smooth as what was there before and that's a shame.

I'm also having a problem with the time stamps on posts being way off...

if I like your post and then unlike it, I don't think it removes the like with the new system. The old system did, that could be the cause for confusion there.

actually, I had thought I disabled that postbit mode as it's a bit much to manage 2 themes and 2 different postbit layouts consistently....and I hate that layout in your screenshot.

if a time stamp is off, it's probably something to do with your time settings. check the date & time options in your user settings page.

All highly confusing stuff to a technodud like me and while I suppose I shall get used to the changes, I’m still hoping for the Blue “Like” Strip of Death (not the likes themselves) to disappear. Tongue

ok So as others have reported I too, am having the same issue with no like area on tapatalk only. I was wondering if any of you had found a fix for this. is there something I am able to do on my end? I have already cleared cache on all my forums that I have subscribed to but noticed DFS is the only one I am unable to "like" on.

CastleShave, I quoted Andrew's answer to this problem. There's nothing we can do as users in settings or anything. It looks like we will have to wait and see.

it won't be going away but perhaps I can get debynory to make the font and strip smaller.

there is no 'fix' for this. I removed the other plugin we were using that had this tapatalk 'like' integration. the new one, which is much lighter on resources, does not have that functionality at the moment.

yes, this is not controlled by a setting a user can change, it's an actual piece of code to integrate this mybb functionality into tapatalk, which is its own plugin for the forum.

To andrewjs18 this is a screen shot.  In the upper right hand corner you see a six in the red box.  I can not get rid of this no matter how many times I click on the the person send the like.  This started they day the system changed.  I do not use Tapatalk, in addition I have cleared my caches and cookies several times and nothing changes.

This is exactly what my problem is.
