I have been using both blades for over a decade now and they are for sure the very same blade. Anything else would be weirder than weird. Both are made in the same factory. In Leningrad.

Well there’s no shortage of weird in this world thats for sure. Like I said I have no doubt that recent stocks of both are identical. There should be no doubt though that both types of packaging are still being produced at least up to only a couple of years ago as evidenced by the use of date codes ...some date codes which are much more recent than the “are they the same or are they different “ rumors that have been circulating since at least 2011 when I started in this hobby. But my point being that my Wizzies void of any date codes with other visual cues that they are older do shave better. Now wether that is due to natural variability in manufacturing of this “same” blade or being that at some point they were different or some other process I have no idea.

I must be a weirdo, myself, as I have always, and still do, find a difference between these two blades. What Marcos has hypothesized might be a valid explanation.
Regardless, I'll just let my imagination prevail in making me think that the Wizamet Iridium Supers are better. Smile

That's good news.  I love the PolSilvers sod if the Wizamets are better, that's great.

It doesn't necessarily mean that you will find them better as everyone is different.
Good luck if you do try them.

I intended to try out the Wizamets since I am such a fan of the PolSilvers (and have a ever dwindling supply, approx. 225 left). I placed an order early last week at wizashave.com (based out of Morocco, and have a couple seller accounts on eBay, I think). However, they seem to be having shipping issues, so I had a short exchange with them earlier today wherein I requested that they refund my money unless they can ship by end of business their time Jan 28. They agreed to these terms, so I shall see.

I'll try to find another reputable source for the Wizamets I've been settled on GSB and PolSilvers as my exclusive blades for a few years now.

When you get the Wizamet and use them, it would be good  to hear what you think.

Will do...if I ever actually get some!  Still nothing from wizashave.com after my ultimatum yesterday, and it sure seems every source for Wizamets on eBay is Morroco-based, so makes me assume all the same outfit.  Assuming I get my money back, I feel like I'd just be giving it right back to the same crew.  Nice hustle, if true, hahahaha.

Do the wizamet blades have the same wax dots as the Polsilver ones do?
