I know that the Polsilver blades are no longer made, but how much are they selling for in packs of 100?

I thought I just had a partial pack, but found a pack of a full 100 Polsilver blades.

I haven't used the Polsilver SI or the Wizamet Super Iridium in a while, but when it comes to the Polsilver SI (most recent version made in Russia), how many shaves should I be able to get out of one blade? I remember reading that some guys were getting up to 20 shaves per blade. Is that realistic?

The reason I asked about the price the 100 count packs are going for on sites like ebay is because last I recall seeing, they were going for, on average, for about $1.00 per blade? Is that still the case?

Also, what is the difference in consistency of the Polsilver SI blades that were made from one year to the next?

The blades I have are the ones that I purchased from Razorbladesclub when they were still available at that time.

Also, what difference is there between the Polsilver SI and the Wizamet SI in terms of performance and longevity?

Living on the edge
No huge differences.
Its a good blade...smoother than many.
20 shaves seems a bit much....I would say 7 days max.
A blade a week...good enough for me.

Excellent blades. Not a great difference between the two blades.
Longevity really depends on you, and, possibly your water.
While living in Vancouver, BC, which has extremely soft water, I could easily get 10+ shaves, performing two passes with touch ups, with my Super Iridiums.
However, since living in Edmonton, AB, which has hard water, I can only manage 5-6 shaves. Had never contemplated that water hardness could play a factor in the longevity of blades.
Maybe the extreme cold winters are affecting my judgement. Smile

The lifespan of any razor blade is just as dependent on the shaver as on the blade itself. Some guys can get 100 shaves from a blade, others get only 3-4 shaves.

Polsilver blades are good blades, but they are not sufficiently better than other blades to warrant paying a premium for them. I find them to be reasonably sharp and reasonably smooth, but I much prefer even sharper blades. I still have a few Polsilvers in my stash, but I rarely use one.

Polsilver and Wizamet are the same blade.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

Ummm, no they’re not.

Ohhhh, you mean the trash produced today right?  You don’t mean the Łódź plant blades because that’s apples and oranges.  The brown are real deal Łódź, the blue not so much…..

I wasn't referring to the antique Polish stuff, but rather the current St. Pete versions.

At $1 a blade, I’d be worried about counterfeiters….
