I will say you have to understand that polishing removes metal and changes shave characteristics. How much depends on the amount of polishing. I know this from experience multiple times. I'm not discouraging it, just saying understand there will be changes. Been discussed on here before.

You could do that if you had a way to precisely control material removal. Instead, we reduce the degree of polishing for shave-critical surfaces. Basically, where dimensional accuracy is vital, we polish less aggressively.

I often wandered about the effect polishing had on the clamping geometry of the razor.

It would be interesting to know what the change in tolerances/geometry from a manufactured razor to a finished polish razor from the same manufacturer.
